Review The Page Corner - Auckland

Super good food with good odds portion. Chicken burger and beef were 5/5 ! French toast 4/5 ( couldn’t feel the coconut, mascarpone could be replace with mascarpone chantilly and the green pear is a bit too colorful). Staff is super friendly and location is good.

The food was lovely and so soft and delicious! The service was great and so was the location. I just wish we had gone on a quieter day because there was barely any seats. We were squeezed up against another group of people on a long table. But other than that I would definitely recommend to check them out!

Little Q is a true treasure of Kingsland. I recently made a reservation through First Table and wasn't expecting to be wowed like I was! On arrival my party I was informed that I accidentally booked our table for the following day. The staff quickly rectified my mistake and still allowed us to use our discount and we were able to choose a table of our choice. The carafe of fruit infused water was definitely a highlight and made us feel a little fancy! One downside about the experience was there were so many amazing choices to pick from the menu to the cabinet food, everything looked mouthwatering. We had a hard time deciding on what to get :) We settled on the open-face steak sandwich and the Q's garden - a savory vegetarian breakfast delight. Oh and not to mention the coffee was just beautiful! The food was really good, and fun to share. After our meal we got some sweets to take away and they did not disappoint. From the service to the cute atmosphere I wanted to stay there all day! I will be returning and need to try the coconut french toast!

The most amazing find on this Sunday morning. I was welcomed at the door, offered a medium roast or dark roast - the dark is sooo good. They used the good Almond Breeze milk and the cabinet looked the best Ive seen. We will be regulars here!

Ahhh...such a sweet discovery in Kingsland. We had a pit stop for coffee and will definitely be back to try their menu. Such a busy cafe and the cabinets selection look scrumptious

Had the Thai beef salad and my sister had the Cajun chicken salad, both were AMAZING. Great flavour and super fresh (Thai beef salad had coriander in it, so watch out if you don’t like it). I booked through the First Table app so it only costed $23 for both of our meals! Ice chocolate was a little sweet, but still tasty 🥰

It was a great stop for breakfast, light, airy, and cute! For sure a great place to go. The food was amazing and looked spectacular for such a small establishment. Would definitely go again!

Great little café in the heart of Kingsland, Iam buying regularly the Foodprint deals, aswell as coffees, smoothies and food. Always very friendly with great service. Cheers

Very nice food and service definitely must try their cabinet food as well

~$25/person, ~$33/person with drinks LOVE the Q's garden dish (pictured) with halloumi, tomatoes, mushrooms, hash, and eggplant. I highly recommend this dish to vegetarians. Vegans can probably ask to skip the halloumi and it would still be delicious. The slow cooked meat burger was very juicy and the portions for both dishes were very good for the price. The green smoothie was quite yummy and I enjoyed the touch of banana chips and freeze dried berries. One thing I will note is that all of the tables had some crumbs on them and there was some sticky spots and on the underside. The menu was also a little bit hard to see unless you moved to the far side of the cafe but these are just minor gripes. Overall, great place! :-) Will definitely be returning

Really nice staff here, very lovely people. I found the interior a bit sad and a little run down, they could make it a bit nicer in there. It has good potential, really good spot in kingsland just next to the train station.
Food came fast, really good amount of salmon in my breakfast, only got one egg though which is a bit disappointing, I always think that’s a little lacking to receive just one egg on a dish that’s over the $20 mark. Bread was good, needed to be toasted a little longer though to not get to the soggy stage at all. And I though the cottage cheese on the bread was a bit of a weird twist, would of preferred just pesto! Or cream cheese perhaps? Overall was an okay dish.
The big breakfast looked good though, again too pricey for what it was in my opinion.

Came here on a summery Saturday morning for brunch and was greeted with lovely service. The menu is not extensive, but they have cabinet food and it's still a pretty solid go-to place for brunch if you happen to be in the area.

My friend ordered the creamy mushrooms, but I got the full breakfast (I originally wanted their special hash browns, but apparently they ran out). My order was very filling and I enjoyed the classic flavours. There wasn't anything special about this, but at least they executed the food right.

I also got an iced coffee was delicious and beautifully presented with a swirl of caramel inside the jar.

Keep the up the good work!

Went there by chance on Sunday, had never been before or heard of this place so had zero expectationsService was excellent and so was the food. I had the 'Pages hash brown' and there was a poached egg inside - fantastic! loved it, would definitely be back. My partner got the Spicy Chai latte and its the best he's had this year.

Honestly Food look more nicely n taste awsome now ...by the way new owner is so gr8 service, heard they gonna change the new menu soon...looking forward to be back again

Worst cafe experience I've had in a long time. Dreadful coffee, food was disgusting and despite the fact it wasn't at all busy they stuffed up our order. Would never go back.

Friendly staff, however was disappointed with the Cajun chicken salad. Waited 20 mins and paid $14.90 for 5 small bits of chicken some lettuce and 3 slices of tomato each cut in half to make it look like there was more of it. Also when dining there a few days before I ordered a chicken and avocado panini, that tasted pretty good except for the bruised/ over ripe avocado which I ended up removing.

This cafe caught my eye one Sunday morning looking for somewhere in kingsland that served a big full breakfast. My partner and I went in hungry and left the same way.

It's a nice place with great coffee, but we were filled with disappointment from start to finish unfortunately. I ordered the Pages full breakfast, my partner ordered Pages Hash Brown along with two white chocolate lattes. The lattes came out and tasted great, but were nowhere near hot enough; Luke warm at best.

I received my full breakfast and it looked amazing, but after I began eating it was obvious every item of food on the plate was supermarket bought and heated up claiming to be cafe food, and my poached eggs were more like boiled. My partners dish wasn't great either - the potato in the hash cakes were inconsistently cooked, and the bacon he paid extra for was a slither on the side of the plate.

The service was friendly (she had amazing make up too- extra points for that! Haha), but due to lack of staff the poor waitress had no time to check on anyone and was doing everything herself.

Such potential to be great with an appealing menu, just spend the extra $$ and hand make your food, it will make all the difference!

Ordered an eggs Benedict with bacon and this is what they gave me. I know cafes need to make their money but paying $18 for 2 poached eggs, 2 slices of bacon and raw spinach with some hollandaise sauce is a joke. The place looks cute and good coffee but wouldnt come back here for food.
Foodie123
Good presentation, but hash browns were soggy, and had weird texture. Coffee was good. Tea was not strong enough.
Overall cleanliness was good.

My partner & I went here for lunch & it started well. We ordered a Salmon eggs Bene & a Bacon Eggs Bene.A miss communication occurred & 2 Bacon Eggs Bene arrive at the table. I mention that I don't eat bacon as it doesn't agree with my system at all. They take it away, 5 minutes later come out & say there is sorry there no salmon would you prefer mushroom's instead. I reply no thanks just maybe take the bacon off & i'll have the eggs on toast instead. My partner proceeds to start her meal so as not to let it go cold. 15 minutes later I walk in & ask where my eggs are & the tell me that I cancelled my order. Hungry & now very pissed off & tell my partner I will pay & lets go. I walk up to the counter, let them know that it was very rude & when they charge me for my partners meal & both of our coffees I mention that they should at the very least knock a coffee of for there incompetence that has left me watching my partner eat & their reply was.."If you just wanted eggs you should have put the bacon to the side of your plate" & charged me. How could I put the bacon to the side when you took it away to get me a salmon eggs bene that you didn't have & never bought back?!? Perhaps a lesson in customer service & hospitality would serve you well. Never again will I eat here & I work just up the road!

The sunny room and homey decor invite you to linger but the food and the service do not. After bringing me my breakfast I never saw the waitress again. The Page's Hash Browns were great in concept. The dish was two poached eggs with grated potato molded around each of them and the whole lot deep fried, served with chorizo. The potatoes were golden on the outside and I was really impressed that the yolks were still runny when I cut into the lot but the potato was almost raw in parts were the potato was too thick. There was also a huge amount of pepper in the potato mix which, much as I love pepper, became overpowering as I ate more of it. The chorizo was not chorizo; it was a skinny offering that had actually been cut in half. I hate that. It just looks cheap. Either charge me more and give me a whole sausage or buy a cheaper sausage.

The tea was lovely - rose vanilla tea made with real leaves in a decent sized teapot. Not enough on its own to make me want to go back though.

No, I didn't complain about my food. I ate it because I was ravenous. If the waitress had come to check up on me I would've said something. However, because they couldn't be bothered, I couldn't be bothered.

I used to walk past this place everyday on my way to work, and have always been attracted by its quaintness. Finally got an opportunity to try it out with some friends.

The cafe is simply but tastefully decorated. The place is quite small, but receives plenty of sunshine, and the ambience is lovely.

There were not a huge range of selections in the cabinet, and though the menu items looked good, they were slightly overpriced. My croissant sandwich from the cabinet was delicious, generous with ingredients and melted cheese, it was even served with a side salad. Husband's chicken quesadilla, green tea frappe, and friends' fries were all okay although nothing spectacular. Coffee was really decent though.

I was still feeling a little peckish after the meal so ordered a cronut. This was the stand out item for me, the texture was perfect and the custard filling was heavenly. Definitely one of the best cronuts I've had. Totally recommend it!

All in all it is fair to say that there is nothing too special about this place to rush back for, but it is one of those places that I would be more than happy to visit if I happen to be in the area :)

We came here mid morning on a Saturday. We were the first two customers in the cafe. Prettily decorated but that is where it stops. Coffee was nice nothing spectacular but in comparison to the food it tastes like 5 star quality. We ordered the salmon hash cake and the page's hash brown. It looked like nothing on the menu. My friend asked no not have eggs with her hashbrown but they put two eggs on it. They missed out the chorizo sausage and when we brought this to their attention they gave her processed sausage not chorizo. My salmon hash was not as described. Hardly any salmon and they overused some mixed herbs in the potato. As you can see the dishes looked exactly the same! Words cannot describe how AWFUL this place is. Even the chips were wrongly cooked because the oil they used to fry them in was off!!!! DO NOT GO HERE. It is a waste of your money and time!!!! (This is the first time I have ever complained about the quality of food).
Rutu Pandya
Food tastes ok but I realized my dish was dripping olive oil when it reached me.. which made appreciating the food a little difficult, since it was really oily.. Also, the portions are a little small for the cost of the food.. My banana smoothie tasted less like smoothie and more like milk with banana flavour in it.. The service is good..

Has to be one of the worst cafes I have ever been too. We are a group of regular brunchers. Staff was so rude, they messed up an order, tried to debate when we stated it wasn't what we had ordered, then when we insisted we weren't eating it and wanted what we ordered was told they ran out of creamy mushrooms? and put the plate back on our table. We took it back and requested a refunded just wanted to get out there asap. Wasn't helpful to gf eater, who ended up getting 2 sides served on a coffee plate with avocado spilling over the sides. The last order was a salad that was brought out was some mescaline tomato and chicken dressing was forgotten. Very disappointing would never go again or recommend to anyone.
Julie Stackpole
Disappointed. Only one small piece of bacon and one half banana for the brioche French toast with 4 half slices of brioche. The brioche itself was nice but not happy with the small portion for $19.50.
Annettetchurch
Totally disgusting- waited 1 hour for a Thai salad - they forgot the noodles on top - chicken was microwaved and browned off in a pan - it was like rubber - Thier seafood chowder was like water - chase the mini shrimp around the watery soup - and another massive disappoint - I left my plate full - walked across the road and got a spring roll from Canton to fill the gap of a $51 spend that left me starving - Never ever ever again
Caitlin
Overall nice experience, we thought the food was fresh and was quick delivery to us however for value for money, not the greatest. We have found that the portion sizes are much more generous elsewhere especially for roughly $20 each meal. Cute cafe and nice surroundings but probably won't visit again.

The Page Corner is so underrated! I would have been a regular if this place were in city central. Love the atmosphere here ❤️ It's one of those places where you feel so comfortable that you linger more than usual. It has a great location, nice orange-tone deco and arrangement, friendly staff and a super cozy vibe 👍🏼

The menu here is pretty standard for a cafe with brunch/lunch service. There is also a cabinet full of yummy-looking pastries. First time I was here I remembered ordering Egg Benedict with Salmon. The hollandaise sauce was spot on and the eggs were poached perfectly. Recently I visited and got the Lemon Pepper Calamari, also a pot of earl grey tea. The calamari was delicious and quite fulfilling as the potion was generous. Taste-wise it blended really well with the vibrant salad. I like how the dish was presented, however I would prefer another sauce rather than sweet chilli and add a touch more of lemon juice to give it more zest. As for drink, the tea was a bit weak, could use a bit more time defusing or add more tea leaves. Can't wait until they switch to T2. On another note, the service was super fast and friendly, got my tea and food within 15 mins ^^

Overall, satisfying and strongly recommended 😊

Not good, sandwich awful ,the tea weak and all you can hear is the staff talking in loud Chinese .
I would not recommend this place and would not come back.

Nice ambiance with a central location in kingsland. The coffee was nice and strong with portion sizes good however the taste of the "Greek eggs $15.50" was quite bland. It consisted of 2 poached eggs, halumi, Sals and 1 ciabatta slice. I love halumi but I think this was cooked on the same pan as bacon (my partner ordered a bacon dish) so there was an odd taste. Not good if you are vegetarian.I would not order it again. The service was pleasant, I would come back for coffee.

Was walking down Kingsland today after checking out the craft market and came across this cafe at the corner. Love the country furniture and design of the cafe. In the background you will hear faint contemporary cover music which I really like. They have nice strong black coffe and have generous portions. I ordered the open chicken burger which comes with grilled bacon, bap bread, sliced cheese and a side of fries. An excellent brunch meal choice!

Not sure what the name means, but the cafe looked spacious and clean from the outside and we were wanting to try something new (Atomic up the road was packed!). We had been here before when it was a restaurant, and it seem like a nice transition to a cafe..... Plenty of room to sit down, it wasn't particularly busy. The cabinet food looked great, but we thought our croissant and cronut were not the freshest, as I could hardly cut my cronut in half... A few of my other pet peeves being plates brought out still wet, packet butter and wet rolled napkins. It's fixing little things like this, and keeping the cabinet fresh that would transform this place into something special, since they already have the location and the great service!

The worst experience EVER. I tried to order from the kids menu coz I was sick and didn't have much appetite. Was told I can't because it is only for kids. Today I commented on their Facebook page about the kids menu and guess what, the cafe owner come back to me and defamed us being rude! She blamed us "slammed" menu back on the table and saying we are stupid and doesn't have manner, and we are not welcomed. What a nonsense! I never see any business attacks their customers personally on their public page. And they even commented on that they are ashamed us being Chinese, what a racist! About the food, it took almost 30 mins to get the meals, tastes ok. Coffee wise, not as good as other places. I could accept they say that due to cost and price adults are not allowed to order from the kids menu, or they will improve it later. However they keeps making up stories that we are being bad customers and commenting about our age as well. The owner obviously don't know how to handle negative feedbacks and should use the time to improve the service and food, and stop arguing with their customers!
Leo Jiang
The food I ordered salmon hash cake was not too bad but too salty. I ordered soy latte which was even worse than any petrol station coffee. The staff does not serve kid dish to adult customers and very picky to customers, I don't know if they gonna argue with me or not after seeing my review, but my friend was told not allowed to go to their cafe after giving bad comment on fb to this cafe, very freaky store.

Shockingly bad. Very surprised given Kingsland usually has quite good establishments. Brunch meals took 30 minutes plus despite no other customers (couple of others getting coffee orders separate from the kitchen staff so should not have been such a hold up).
The bad
-house made hash browns with eggs inside should have a gorgeous gold coating not a purple black bruise coloured outside coating with what seemed like raw batter on the inside. Weird taste.
-family ordered scrambled eggs and got an oily mess with old mushrooms
-eggs Benedict came late after remaking it (mum asked for hollandaise on the side). Hollandaise had a weird sweet taste.
-insane amount of salad greens
-scrambled eggs = oily mess
-asked for a refund and they did it with very little in the way of an apology. How unfortunate for their future business as it look like it's going down hill real fast.
-next customers kept going back up to ask about their orders (they were waiting 20 mins+).

The good
-poached eggs cooked perfectly
-coffee all good

Probably not coming back again unfortunately.
Paige Venter
I wouldn't visit this place again. The coffee was fine, and the service was nice, however the food took 40 minutes to reach us. I ordered Brioche French Toast, which came with bacon and fried banana. The dish cost about $20 dollars, however I only got one short piece of bacon, 2 slices of bread and half of a fried banana. Nowhere near enough food for the price point. Additionally, the Brioche was dry and uninteresting. Very disappointing amount of food given for the price.

We have been to the Page Corner 4 times over the Xmas - New year period. It got steadily worst. Last time I was SO DISAPPOINTED & EMBARRASSED. Had friend out from States & service was SO so bad I don't know where to start. Food and coffee very mediocre. Sticky tables - tried 3 of them. Order was wrong 4 times. BUT Most of all the staff were rude and slammed the food down. They had a MASSIVE ARGUMENT in the kitchen that cleared the other people out of the cafe. It went on and on for ages. All in another language. Friend from the States said this would never happen in the States!!! I will not be going back!!!!
Laura Ransome
Came here and wasn't really impressed with what I paid for. The service wasn't great the lady who acted like the manager was quite unpleasant and bossy. We ordered the vanilla thick shake which tasted so syrupy that my partner and I only shared a quarter of if and left the rest. The garlic chips were soggy and the aoli tasted funny. The big breakfast was half good, the bread was ridiculous as me and others at different tables struggled to cut and bite into it, also the fried eggs were very oily. I enjoyed everything else on the dish though, especially the hash browns. Wouldnt return and at the time was contemplating getting my money back.
Steve Ball
$7.40 for a soy decaf flat white. Even for a public holiday that's insane. It makes it the most expensive coffee I've had anywhere in the world of the 30 countries I've visited. Well done, Page Corner, you're a world leader!
Luke Alexander
Charged 15% extra for a lacklustre long black on labour day. The most exciting thing about the cabinet food was the spelling errors on the labels. They do provide water for dogs, however, which is a real boon.
Yusoff Kamal
I love this place. It's beautiful set up and cosy. The pantry food is good and love the white chocolate (it's very sweet) A great place for lunch with friends.
Check this place out! It's worth it. 😊
Sarah
Lunch today was mediocre. The meals typically focused on quantity rather than quality and were very generously portioned. The Salmon on the Salmon Potato Hash and Eggs was completely bland; borderline tasteless, and was dry and overcooked. The seafood chowder had been microwaved, still had the microwave-induced film on top as result of not being stirred and as a result was differing heats. The creamy mushrooms were tasty, massive portion, yummy crusty white bread with it. We also ordered bacon and mushrooms on wholegrain bread and got a pathetic amount of bacon on a plate with two slices of regular toasted sliced grainy bread (eg Molenberg; not what you expect at a café). The mushrooms took a while to come and were on a separate plate. The quesadilla was tasty. Service was mediocre. It took quite some time to clear the previous table's dishes so we did it ourselves. Overall, a not overly enjoyable experience but not terrible. I would not go back however.

A group of friends and I went here for brunch and we really enjoyed the cafe. The interior was really nice it made us feel nice and cosy. We all enjoyed our meals and thought the service was very good. Would totally go back here again!
Vincent Warner
I love this place. The food is always good, the staff friendly and willing to accept my hungover substitutions and weird preferences. There's never been a bad meal for either myself or my partner when we've gone there and possibly best of all the food isn't covered in hipster pretension or wacky design which is dime a dozen these days. This place keeps it simple, solid breakfasts, decent coffee and a fair price.
Temptation Cakes Auckland
Just been in this morning a quaint cafe with lovely little touches like mint and fruit in the water, your own pink himalayan salt and pepper grinders etc
We had the big breakfast and hashbrowns both lovely.
Nice holly and tomato chutney sauces and butter for the toast on the big breakfast (which we find is not given out much these days) very reasonable prices too all this plus two coffees a chai and oj just over $50 and YES the hashbrowns were balls! Hehe

Super cute cafe on the main strip of Kingsland. Probably one of the better cafes in the area. Absolutely love the set up, verrrry modern but still cosy.

The menu was pretty standard. But I have to say that do 'standard' dishes well. had the creamy mushroom with chorizo and sourdough while my partner had the French toast w banana bacon and maple syrup. Fantastic meals. Sufficient sizes and presentation was good. The cabinet food looked good too. Coffee was incredible. Slightly weak for my liking, but still very good.

Service was good. Food served in a timely matter too.
I'd happily come back one day. ☺️
Claudia Paine
Really cute cafe! I have come here quite a few times now with my mum :) we like the coffee and muffin combo! Great price and delicious! Recommend this place if your in the area!
Don's Food Fiesta
Love their serving sizes for breakie. Ordered some good old fashion bacon n eggs and that's what I got. Fresh environment, reasonable prices and damn good coffee. Will be returning if I'm ever in the area again
Aniva Huang
We came here for brunch one weekend.
I loved how the fused the water with mint and lemons!! The lunch menu was a little all over the place. But I got their quesadillas and it was good so I can't complain.
I was the designated coffee errand boy this morning, so I popped in and placed the order with the friendly waitress. The cafe felt light and fresh, the decor and art work gave it a cool urban feel. I have a soft spot for jazz and enjoyed the tunes playing in the background. Whilst smooth, the coffee was on the weak side and I wondered if it was a single shot (or a latte rather than the flat white I expected).
Sungsam7
Good coffee although had to ask for the hot water for my long black. His dish looked good but according to him it tasted 'sort of plain', my scone was nice and fluffy though. The table we took the seating was hard and very uncomfortable but the location with its huge windows is a great people watcher long black sipping experience if you're in no hurry and managed to get parking.
Isaac Valach
I use to be a regular coffee & occasional food customer, however good service & good coffee is never consistent here which is shame due to it being in a good location, it is hard when you have other competition in your area. Food is slightly overpriced although they do have early bird coffee prices & coffee combo's.
All the best.
Matt Jeng
I had the best iced mocha I've ever had here at page corner. It was the perfect blend between coffee and chocolate. Kudos to the barista who made it. The salmon cake I had was also amazing. So if you want good food and great coffee go here
Janet Williams
Special touches like orange mint water and fruit ice in drinks made the eating experience memorable. Food was very tasty. Cabinet food came with a tasty chutney and leafy salad.
Foodiesfeast
Recently had a lovely breakfast here. I ordered poached eggs on ciabatta with halloumi and salad. It was fresh, clean and well priced. The only downfall I found was that we were seated and given menus however no one came back to take our order, we had to approach the front counter ourselves. If your struggling to pick a cafe in Kingsland this is definitely worth a try, good coffee, good food.
Max Clark
Good simple options on menu. Well cooked! Every component of the meal was delicious. Cabinet food always looks amazing and fresh. Service is soft and friendly. Easy going.

My partner and I had brunch here 3 weeks ago. We had started out at another cafe over the road but their coffee machine had broken down so we sort of blundered into The Page. Thanks heavens we did, what a delight it was! It was clean, bright and cheerful with cute themed murals/paintings on the walls and the staff were ever so natural and friendly. I had a big breakfast but my partner decided on something light from the servery, I think it was some sort of rice cake. Both meals were absolutely delicious and the coffee was hot and tasty. I will definitely return to this cafe and highly recommend it to friends!
Arna Mules
Really enjoyed a great flat white coffee here and the bancock chicken salad yum! My husband had the prawn salad which was really tasty, great portions, loverly service and very clean and bright feel, enjoyed the atmosphere and will be back.
Samantha Mules
Great cafe, excellent vibe, bright and clean. Was very impressed as the coffee was PERFECT and food was also good, friendly staff who were quite informative.

I had the pages salad which was fresh and very tasted and my partner had eggs benedict which also looked good, he raved about the homemade hollandaise.

The cafe is located in the heart of Kingsland so nice to sit and watch the passers by.

Great experience, would highly recommend
Jasmine Lee
Fresh, fantastic and delicious food prepared from the heart. Beautiful presentation and fresh tasting. They only use free range eggs. Friendly and efficient staff. Plenty of indoor and outdoor setting. Definitely the best cafe in Kingsland! YUM!
Steve Suddens
I come here a lot for a quick breakfast when I'm working in the city.

The all day breakfast is a great deal for $11.50 including a coffee and is probably as good quality as some of the more "upmarket" cafes in the CBD who can charge up to twice as much for basically the same thing!

The staff is always friendly and are happy to swap out items in the set meals for the same price.
Cristian Rosescu
Every day for the past week I have not been able to walk past this cafe/bakery at lunch time. They have really delicious sandwiches which are around the $4.50 mark and even cheaper.

It's a great place for lunch with seating both inside and outside
