Review Karaka Chocolate House - Auckland

Lovely little shop & cafe! Great range of NZ craft chocolate makers and desserts to try. Their deluxe hot chocolate was delicious, and coffee great too, with the best coffee foam art! We also ordered a tiramisu dessert from the cabinet. Definitely worth stopping by 🤗

Update: We went back today. This time was great. Coffee and hot chocolate prepared with perfect temperature and beautiful art. I had banana cake with caramel icing. It was really good.. _____________________________________________ Being a local, we were very excited to visit this Karaka Choclate House. Purchased couple of hot choclates and a moca. Drinks were barely warm. Waited over 30minutes to get our drinks, I had to ask twice how much longer is the wait. Overall very disappointed and waste of money.

Came here for some child free time and it was so worth it! Coffee is delicious and decor is cute. Amazing range of chocolate desserts and they've added in some savoury options aswell. Nice little toy corner for the kids to play in. Outdoor seating available.

We went expecting something special and was a little disappointed. Food was nice but lacked the wow factor you would expect from a chocolate house cafe. The Croque Monsieur was a toasted sandwich, a very nice toasted sandwich but I was unsure why they needed to mislabel it. The staff were lovely and I will return for the coffee and gourmet hot chocolate but with lower expectations next time.

Firstly these guys are now in Papakura, dont believe the google address. Secondly what a great cafe! The chocolates and baked good were fantastic and the coffee was very well made. They went the extra mile and made different foam animals for each of our coffees which was neat. Super friendly and accomodating staff. We will be back.

Great service! Young girl there was a delight, and so early in the morning too. Plum tart was delicious too, and great tea, served in pottery pot so no metallic after taste.

Expensive but tasty treats for those in area or out for that something special. He can also make a great coffee which is hard to find. Suggest a play area so adults can indulge.

Excellent hot chocolates and fantastic treats that are attractive as well as delicious, in a charming old shop. Free street parking for an hour outside.
