Their Hokkien Mee (2) was delicious &their Teriyaki (9) was good too. There wasn't as much veges as I would like, but plenty of meat &sauce/flavour, & noodles!
My local takeaways (Diamond) is very popular, but I am always adding hoisin sauce at home to flavour it.
Noodle Canteen flavours are just perfect, not needing salt or soy to be added.

Usually quite good. Food is prepared well and the portions are great. Some inconsistencies from time to time but nothing major to complain about.

We attempt to try out many of the food outlets - here is one we stumbled unto because my daughter said she had had enough of eating chips and chicken 🤭 she wanted something different and it was noodles. Now we eat instant noodles at home most times but noodle at noodle canteen is super! Our fave so far - honey chicken noodle! We've been twice already 🥰👏

The food is good. The price is quite expensive and they also change the size of the food container to a smaller size. If you don't buy frequently you'll not noticed the difference. Considering that I often buy with them, I've noticed the white container is now smaller than the previous one.

I was coming back from the bach quite late, nothing was open except for the Noodle Canteen along Lunn Ave in Mt Wellington. You can eat in if you choose. Not to many tables maybe three. Essentially it is a takeaway shop. The food was top class and plenty of it. Pricing was also a big plus. Food would average around the $17-$18 depending on what you got. Only a smallish shop so atmosphere knocked down a bit.

There's always a good variety of options at Noodle Canteen, and they are very quick in making your order. For what you pay there's a lot of food. Not the fanciest of places but it's definitely good for a quick and easy meal that tastes pretty good and fills you up.

just experienced the most appalling customer service today.I rocked up about dinner time to order Won Ton noodle soup (my usual order). They were clearly busy so I rang the bell... Got ignored. I rapped on the counter... Got ignored. Called out to them... Got ignored. Ended up having to wait 10 minutes until they felt like taking my order.How hard is it to look over your shoulder and say "be with you in a minute"?They obviously have no interest in attending to their customers so in future I think that I'll take my money elsewhere.<br/><br/>And before my post gets deleted... I wasn't nasty, critical or condescending. Food reviews should reflect reality which means both positive as well as negative experiences.

I just moved to Mount Wellington and I thought I would have a lazy dinner from here. From the start, thr guy was rude over the phone. I should have found it fiahy when they said it will take only 5 minutes to cook the Mongolian Beef Noodle... the noodle was oily, the beef was VERY rubbery. I asked for extra spicy but it was no where near spicy as what I used to get from the Botany branch. It was extremely salty, so much so I couldn't finish it. I keep chewing into small bits of something that crushes between my teeth I don't it is? I am buying my noodles and fried from Botany.

We phoned an order of 3 dishes through to Lunn Ave, Mt Wellington store #9,13, 28. The man repeated the numbers which I overheard and it was correct.<br/>By the time we got there, one of the dishes was incorrect and a satay dish had been made. We bought that one for a discount and the cook remade the dish he got wrong and we left with 4 dishes and spent approximately $40.<br/>We have had Noodle Canteen many times and it has been good. On Sunday it was terrible,<br/>4 dishes lined up on the table and they all looked the same- mid to dark brown and mainly noodles or rice. It was near impossible to find a vegetable and everything looked and tasted the same.<br/>A waste of money and embarrassing to give this to our dinner guests.<br/><br/>

Of course you cant expect premium quality meat and veges in these dishes but I had no food poisoning or bad experience so far, so im totally cool to give them good review.<br/>

So awful that I downloaded the Zomato app again in order to write a review. The noodles in my Kuai Teow are overcooked into a gummy, clumped mess, and the pork is so fatty that it's pretty much inedible- and I grew up on Mad Butcher specials, I hardly have high standards for meat. Hardly any veges, either. I don't go to a takeaway store looking for ambiance, but the staff ignored us when we were waiting at the counter while they finishes their own conversation - not even a nod or quick 'hi be with you shortly'. <br/>

Called in here for Friday takeaways 21 April 2017, wasn't very busy so fast service, seatting available for waiting in clean shop, haven't been to one of these outlets for years - still the same delicious Asian stir fr - very oily though, had number 47 Pad Thai - be nice if it were more authentic. I've had the Hot Box in the past. Not many rice noodle dishes to choose from.

Eww! Just had the most disgusting Combination soup from the Lynn Ave store. The chicken was coated in a slimy goo and was so awful to eat. Had to take it all out. And the prawns were tough and tasted really old. Really hope I don't get sick from this place! Yuck!

Oh man I didn't think it was possible to get noodle canteen so wrong! The whole point of these chains is that you get a consistent product no matter which one you go to OR SO I THOUGHT. Worst meal - no flavour, plenty of oil, hunks of grey meat as big as your hand. Just don't do it guys, Big J's is less than 10 mins away.

Many options and fairly good. I use to come here a lot until I branched out to try other things. <br/><br/>I love their soup in the winter. The service is fairly good and food comes out fairly quickly.

Been here lots of times and usually get the Hot Box. Went yesterday and got the Sambal Chicken. It tasted like there was fish in it. I'm a bit dissapointed.

Consistently disappointed with lunn ave branch of this franchise. From the Royal oak outlet, we have for work lunch food sometimes and the standard there is better. You feelas everything is drowned in sauces or salt to make up the flavour. as you may know I don't make a habit of reviewing food chains unless alarm bells are ringing. Hope this average rating will help them up the ante a bit. Soggy noodles never using a ramen styled or firmer noodles; singapore noodles is almost a curry sauce and mee gor ren that is hardly spicy. As bad as bamboo kitchen in the vicinity. Sorry fuzzy pictures but trust me on this. :(

This place from the Noodle Canteen franchise has a variety of Asian cuisine. The food is overall fair. The staff do their best to be communicative. The decor is minimal. The franchisee needs to revisit the entire customer experience and make improvements.

Use to have it once upon a time. Many options available and staff is good too. However a typical smell started coming from most of the food from this place. Hence stopped visiting them.

Had the chicken sambal extra spicy. The size of the meal was good so i wasnt hungry after. Otherwise it Was the worst malaysian food ive ever had it just tasted like instant noodles. Was hardly any vegetables in it and the chicken was this weird mush that didnt really have the usual taste or texture chicken. I dont know if the other dishes are better but based on that meal i would avoid this place!

The food is no where as good as use to be. We were disappointed with our meal. nasi goreng & singapore noodles. i agree with the other review and wondered if they have been adding MSG. The girl who served me was really sour as well. Will try a different location next time.

I have been coming to this location for many years but recently the quality has really dropped. The last several dishes were very sparse on meat and veges, mostly just rice and noodles. I'm pretty sure they have started to add MSG and the flavours are just not there. I don't recommend this location unless they get back to the quality that it used to be.
