I got the chicken kebab on rice and I'm so sorry to say but it was disgusting by far the worst kebab I've ever tasted. The chicken tasted off it was pretty much minced meat it didn't have the traditional Turkish kebab taste I'm use to at all. The garlic bread was like raw dough with no garlic flavor at all I was extremely disappointed. I use to go to this kebab place all the time time when the previous owners were there and it was beautiful but unfortunately I won't be going back after what I tasted last night.

We had gone in a group and each one enjoyed the food. The meat was good and the veges in the wrap were fresh as. The wrap was also nice and soft. <br/><br/>The place was clean and neat, a pleasure to eat there. Service was also good, really quick And with a smile. Within the Glen Innes area it was like a breath of fresh air!<br/><br/>i would surely like to go there again.

Nice fresh kebab, I got the rice dish with chicken and there was heaps of meat on the rice. Nice and friendly service too. I asked for the souvlaki though but didn't get the tzatziki on it - maybe I had to ask for that extra? I'll eat here again, best local kebab I've found so far.

Not a bad place to eat; very friendly staff. Just tried a falafel burger and it was awesome. The only thing missing was the buns were not completed grilled to taste crispy and needs some butter on it. <br/>Rest is all good <br/><br/>Thanks

I wouldnât suggest my readers to dine here not because the food isnât nice but because of the location. As another reviewer has already mentioned Kebab 149 is in a considerably rough area of Auckland but coming in between 5-7 you should be fine. <br/><br/>Was just after a quick snack that I could take home on the way from work. Picked up a lamb kebab for 10$, not too exciting or interesting but it had a substantial amount of lamb meat, loads of salad on a flavorsome pita. The meat isnât as tender as I would have liked but for 10$ my expectations were rather low.<br/><br/>Overall I do want to come back and try some of the authentic Persian dishes that were pictured on the walls.<br/><br/>Showstopper: $$$ Great price point, but it is in GI, so no surprises there.<br/><br/>Overall Grade: B

Good food, good prices, excellent service. Rough clientele, so best for takeaway but totally worth the trip. All of the sandwiches are great. I recommend the mixed grill on rice with the mint/yogurt sauce or the felafel in pita.

Good value for your money! A $10 meal can get you quite a lot. I ordered a rice salad meal with chicken and falafel. The chicken was tasty but the only thing I sent fond of was the falafel, as it was too dry and indigestible. However this is the cheapest and best quality kebab place I've found in Auckland so far, plus it was such a decent sized meal I even had leftovers.

Theres this kebab shop with decent variety on the menu. We like the donner kebab with pita bread and specially the chips. They are thinly sliced and fried giving the crisp texture unlike how thick we get elsewhere. Nice halal place in the vicinity.

Love coming here for the mini chicken on rice with hummus and delicious garlic mayo sauce and garlic pita bread! :) by far the yummiest kebab place I've been to, I highly recommend the milkshakes! , chocolate especially :) Affordable prices and GREAT service, all cooked and served by the owner himself.

Love this joint! It's a cosy little place with delicious, affordable food!! One of my favourite dishes is the chicken souvlaki served on rice with a side of pita garlic bread (Yuum) definitely recommend it to others to try it out when you're around the area :)
