My only advise is to come hungry.
We had a great experience with a starter of essentially cold cuts, slathered with tuna mayo and fried capers. Never had anything like it before, but gosh was it tasty!
As we couldn't pick, we decided we'll share the meat and bread platter between the two of us. It was generously portioned, and hit the spot! The flavours on the platter allowed you to create multiple balanced bites, from the two different textured breads, the different meats, the soft mozzarella, delicious pesto and olive oil/vinaigrette mix. By this point, we were too full to eat any more and couldn't try any pasta. Poor planning on our part.
Looking forward to coming back to try some pasta next time.

Nice little touches with decorations, small place but nice and warm and quiet. Food is excellent and decently fast. Well priced too and staff are very nice and professional.
A gem in the middle of busy Kingsland area. Amazing Italian food for a date night. The food was delicious. The seafood tagliatelle is a must try with handmade tagliatelle. Staffs were friendly, nice and fun. They gave compliment drinks to the guests even it's hard time out there. Thank you for a perfect night.
DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS ONE!! The authentic Italian restaurant you'll stumble in Auckland. This is now my standard, the closest I can get to bring in Italy's countryside. Everything is handmade and every detail of the dish is perfected. The mussels were cooked perfectly! Which was a real bonus as a seafood lover. The service was beyond expectations and just the experience makes this the best restaurant this year so far. Have been going on about this place since to my family. Will keep coming back for sure
What can I say? From the service to the food absolutely amazing! We had the arancini risotto balls, polenta crips, 4 cheese gnocchi, the special fish and orecchiette puglia. What amazing dishes! They looked and tasted good. Definitely worth it and would definitely recommend this place. Very hospitable service!

We visited Puglia Ristorante with a group of friends last week and we LOVED it! The pasta was fresh and filled with authentic flavours and the ambiance transported me right back to Italy. Great service too. I would highly recommend this if you're looking for an authentic Italian experience. We've already decided to go back there tonight!
This cosy Italian restaurant is one of my favourite in the Kingsland / Ponsonby area. Feels like authentic regional Italian food, with a more bespoke menu, rather than a generic list of every Italian dish under the sun. The homemade pasta is fantastic, and the atmosphere is warm and relaxed. Perfect for date night or a family dinner. Owner is passionate about traditional food from the Puglia region and is a fantastic host. Special mention of the affogato which comes with a mini Moka pot of fresh coffee and the delicious tiramisu.
Excellent Italian cuisine. Generous portions, fair price, good service. Would like to come back. Convenience off street parking.
