Review Taiwan Restaurant - Auckland

The restaurant is only visible as a stairway from the street. There are signs and a large menu by the entrance. The dining room looks quite plain but it is quite large. The menu has quite a bit of selection too. there are options for both noodle and rice dishes. You order up at the counter and if you have the three vegetable dishes, you actually get to choose three vegetable dishes to go with your meal. They take EFTPOS but no credit cards. There is hot water available by the fish tank, otherwise, grab a table and wait. They serve the food to your table. The pork chop had a nice crispness and flavour. All the vegetable side dishes were also quite tasty. The dumplings were also quite tasty, particularly with the chili sauce sitting on each table. This is the perfect place to go for a quick, tasty and cheap lunch.

Owner has taken over this shop years ago, friendly service and the food is reasonable good taste. Price wise is actually quite cheap, comparing to other restaurant that sells Taiwanese food. Location is right in New Market, have to go upstairs, not a particularly big space but enough seatings. A bit short of staffs, when busy it takes a while for them to clean up the tables. But overall good experience, recommended if you haven't been there before.

One of my favourite restaurants in Parnell. Good food at very reasonable prices. They have resisted the wave of price increases that other Asian restaurants have recently participated in. I can still get a filling and delicious soup for $5. Check out their menu for their other bargains. I have included some pictures of their menu to assist other diners.

My friend showed me this place. It's easy to miss, the only thing to see is just a door from the street. The food was tasty! It's not a fancy place. Your definitely benefiting from the lack of flashy interior design with cheap food that tasted great. It's a tried and true way to tell they're caring more about the food

Excellent authentic Taiwanese-style home cooking. Reasonably priced, very yummy. Clean place & kitchen. During quiet hours you can see the staff do the prep. I always feel refreshed and energised after having a meal here.

A hidden gem in the middle of Newmarket. It's very plain inside but the food is amazing and really well priced (especially for Newmarket). I can particularly recommend the Beef Noodle Soup. The broth is so hearty and delicious. It has a tiny hint of chili and is perfect for when you feel a cold coming on. The couple that run it have limited English but they are very friendly and cheerful and I've never had any issues. Definitely worth a visit.

It's tucked away on top of the asian supermarket but well worth a visit if you like Taiwanese cuisine. It's my go to lunch place for beef noodle soup ($10). The dumpling and noodle soup combo is also delicious.

Super friendly staff, great food and clean, authentic Taiwanese restaurant, hidden upstairs. High chair available. Toilet available. 3 side dish with main course for just $10, add a fried pork cutlet for $12, super affordable and large portion.

Decent food at a affordable price point, the three selection on rice with fried chickenn leg or pork is amazing epically with the extra salty pork mince sauce on top. However The noodle is alright not to surprising.
