Review Siso - Auckland

My partner and I visited Siso in Remuera on a Monday night and we were amazed at how busy it was. Every dish we had was a winner, highly recommend the pumpkin and hummus and freshly toasted sour dough to share as a starter, the espresso martini was fantastic as well. What a great night with amazing tasting food!! Each dish was a mouth adventure with flavors that all went together so well, and kept you looking for more. Compliments to the chef on the menu!! We tried 4 starters and 4 mains and they all were perfect!! The atmosphere was alive, the service was friendly and prompt. I will be going back again and again for sure!.

Beautiful place ! Mediterranean European cuisine. We had an event here so I didn’t check the menu or prices. But food was good and great service. Would go and try for a personal date night and can comment more then. Though we had ordered 3 different type of food and everyone seemed to enjoy

I went there to have a dinner for my birthday and it is the best and right decision , the environment is really cozy and nice , good service and the food is superb ❣️

Nice contemporary Mediterranean food and bar at the heart of Remuera. Our dishes overall are good, quality ingredients except the chips are bit salty.

Beautiful meal here, nothing to fault, all our dishes was amazing. We got the spinach pie (delicate fill stuffed with spinach and feta) with a walnut & brown butter, market fish crudo (light and some spicy sauce so watch out), octopus (my fav dish, chargrilled yet so tender and the capers were perfect complement), lamb meatball and grilled aubergine (decent flavours), Spanish fris chicken, nduja butter & romesco hung yoghurt (not what I expected but blown away at how big and juicy it is). Finished the meal with the choc ricotta cannoli with dulce choc, salted caramel and ice cream which wasn't even listed on the menu. I tried their Remuera Spritz which at first was sour but it was refreshing and appetising to start the meal with. Easy unintrusive service, high ceiling and bookshelves gives a cozy home feel. Toilet apparently was quite faraway but I didn't go.

Excellent food and service at Siso Bar & Eatery. My friends and I came for lunch and ended up eating and drinking for 4 hours. Cocktails here are amazing, my favourite is the Siso Sour!

Unplanned encounter due to the closure of next-door Indian restaurant on Mondays. A pretty decent drink list which includes 4 Pinot Noir choices, pasta was good, but the highlight goes to the beautiful pudding, especially for a cold evening. Very likely to return here.

Love the food experience. Reasonable prices. Wide variety to choose from. Pizzas to pasta to breads to desserts 🍨. To steak. End of story

Loved the risotto but the rest was just ok for the price. Service was great. Atmosphere was loud as it is a popular place, the restaurant was full on a wintry Monday night.

We came here for my friends birthday and the entire experience was amazing. The service was perfect and we all had a great time. Thank you so much!

Food and serving staff were first class. Unfortunately three mains were served before we had to wait 10 minutes for the fourth. Then one dessert was served with a 15 minute wait for the other three. Maître Ds apology was pretty insincere

Not sure why the 1-star reviews, probably just locals that are upset that the old established restaurant shut down and changed hands. Absolutely fantastic service with the Croatian manager, really felt at home. Food was delicious, especially the entrees. Would recommend asking for a seat around the back as it’s far cozier than the front with ambient lighting and fireplace heating.

We had such a great time at Siso! The service is next level good! The food is super delicious, we had a few dishes and absolutely loved every single dish, so much flavour! The restaurant decorations and the atmosphere is lovely too. Definately a great dinner spot, highly recommend!

Thank you for a great lunch today. The food, service and atmosphere (especially with the lovely fire) will make this years Birthday more memorable I can highly recommend Siso as a great spot to meet friends

It's a beautiful place to go on a date. But the food is a little slow
