Review Kaos Papakura - Auckland

What an amazing experience and service from The Thursday Team - Ben, Izzy & Karen were amazing. The coffee was on point, the food is homemade either on-site or at their mothership in Pukekohe. If you’ve not heard of them, you should check them out. An absolute wicked retro vibe and friendliness.

Came here with my family and we thought it was a really cute place!! Has great retro vibes. We were greeted with a warm welcome and when we ordered, we received this cute polar bear as a table mark. Food was also very nice, although I wasn't too sure if they forgot to take off the baking paper... I did end up removing it myself. Overall fantastic nevertheless! We will definitely come back here :)

Gunther from friends??? That was my first impression when I came to Kao and was welcome by the manager. He's very friendly and, most of the time, a "hoot." Funny fella, that makes us so welcome while we were there. Though the kitchen is closed, we have coffee and cakes. I loved the carrot cake, one of the good ones I ever had. Overall, I love the ambience and theme of this place. What a great contrast to our last experience at Pukekohe. It is not only about the food but great service is essential, and Kao at Papakura had risen up on my list of places that I will definitely come again. Next time, it will be more than just coffee and cakes. Back on 24/05/23 Ordered the Eggs Benedict... 5 stars for presentation, and I personally feel that it is a little salty for my liking, but I think the locals here like it that way. "Gunter" is no longer here, but the service is still top-notch. Note: Choc Fudge marries Americano = perfect union. Hehehe

Only cafe to go to in Papakura if you like great coffee food cooked to order and cheerful customer service. I've tried a bunch but this is the only one that nailed all three of my requirements for a great breakfast. Coffee bacon and eggs and cheerful staff.

Wow interesting place, great portion of food 🥳 Happy to please customers. We also had an Ankylosaurus join us and was keen on eggs and salad. Coffee was awesome.

Had the best coffee and cheese and bacon scone at Kaos, this morning. Service was top notch. Quite a funky little place with a great vibe and music in the background. Highly recommend 👌

Absolutely lovely staff every time I go. Also really good drinks and food! I love that they don't make my latte scorching hot and undrinkable like other places I've been. One of the best places in Papakura hands down.

Fantastic food, great service and very cool feel with all the old album covers and movie posters up. I had the big breakfast and the wife had a thing with lots of hash browns and bacon and cheese, just yummy but can't remember the name of it. I'd highly recommend dropping in if you're in the papakura area, try their hot chocolate, delish. I'll be back.

Love the coffee best in Papakura! Food was good we had brunch and all were happy with what they received. Staff are very friendly. Maybe I'll choose another seat next time, was too close to the counter and very loud customers behind me. Love the concept.

Even during a lockdown they are out here supplying much needed cafe treats to the locals! The safety measures they have in place to keep themselves and the public safe are great! And it's an efficient and quick service! Delicious coffees, hot chocolates and the scones - let's just say one is enough but will keep you coming back for more!!
