Review Kai Eatery Ellerslie - Auckland

First time trying. We had the kumara fries with chef special spice, xl fried chicken with periperi spice and then chicken bites spicy. Drinks we had dragon fruit and mango layer and also the strawberry and mango layer. The kumara fries was very good, i've not had anything similar before. It is like having a cinnamon fried donut but with kumara in the middle, very yummy and compliments well with the chicken. Out of the 2 different chicken, I like the bite size one more as there are more crunch to it. The XL was also good but I just prefer the bite size. For flavour, I also like the spicy one more than the periperi but both options are good. The drinks comes in a tall bottle which presents quite nicely. It is like a fruity slushy, quite refreshing with the fried food. Service here is average. Would prefer if we get some large plates to put our food on. But we got these small cardboard trays and environmental friendly cutleries which to be honest I don't really like. Overall this place for food is very good, will definitely be back for more. Although parking is not very good nearby.

Handy location… but parking is an issue here Clean & tidy store. Love the potstickers& rice bowls. Fresh& refreshing frui teas . Friendly service.

Pretty Easy to place online order though website. Staffs are all friendly and helpful, always love kai eatery and finally have a branch near home. Highly recommend kumara fries, super delicious

Amazing food, amazing quality and freshness.

The Kumara fries are delicious. It’s the best. It’s what gets the 5 stars. The chicken is ok. The drinks are ok. But Kumara fries are a must order. I’m sure they can sustain the store just by selling these Kumara fries. A+++++

Me and my friend tried this new restaurant for our lunch. The fried chicken is crispy and juicy, Kumara fries is 5 star, bubble tea is nice. Friendly staff, great service, fresh made meals, definitely come back again. Keep up the good work 👍

Just discovered this place tonight and we headed straight there for bubble tea and kumara fries. THE KUMARA FRIES.....they ain't playing!! They are nothing like I've ever tried before, I highly highly recommend. 12 year old says the bubble tea is really good!! Eatery is very clean, well decorated and staff are friendly. More locals need to try here as it hasn't been open that long.

Holy mackerel! I cannot cope with how magical the chicken tastes! It's so tender and tasty, addicted after one bite. Also I had the strawberry and mango smoothie today and well let's just say it was truly magical. Highly recommend! Thanks guys 😁

Fried chicken was yum. Very tender and juicy. Great customer service. Kind people. Price slightly increased.

Quality ingredients. Generous portions. Great value. Ordered delivery through uber eats and was surprised the chicken rice bowl had such a delicious fresh salad. Dressing was Wasabi. Chocolate milkshake was super creamy with a hint of snickers. Shoestring fries with Chef choice salt is a new way to eat them. A novelty for sure. From today forward this is my goto after a long day.

SO GOOD OMG! We bought the XL Extreme (spicy warning for people who cannot handle heat!) & Kumara fries. Both are absolutely amazing! We also got the Mango Sago Beauty Tea & Brown Sugar Milk Tea SO good omgoodness where have I been?!

Lovely place. I love their spicy chicken bites and kumara fries. There milk teas were good too. The only negative is that parking space is quite hard to find at times.
