A second time here, and it didn’t disappoint. The menu was little bit different, but every dish was of top-quality and flavour paired beautifully with their wines. Service was great and attentive. We were aiming to eat outside in the more casual setting, but there was a table available inside, so we opted for that. One of the most picturesque wineries in the region.
Stylish, modernly rustic appeal. Great wines, amazing food, and a very social vibe. Outdoor and indoor dining, amazing views. Located right off the Dunstan Bike Trail. Pizza truck out back.

The pizza is perfect, a great crust, well balanced sauce and top notch toppings.

Fan-damn-tastic. Such an amazing experience to taste some excellent wines, soak up the view, the sunshine and enjoy a slice of pizza in a chilled setting.
Nice meal and delicious wines. The views are also quite nice. It can be quite busy during lunch time so book ahead. A little on the pricey side but a recommended stop during an Otago wine tour.
An absolutely delightful setting for a meal, playing garden games, or simply sitting in the sun with a rather fine glass of wine.
Lovely, lovely, lovely oh and did I say lovely. A wonderful birthday lunch, great food and great service with a spectacular view, as other reviews say it can be busy so I recommend to book - a must stop if on a tour of the vineyards (or for that matter any reason).
A wonderful experience within the most Fabulous environment. Hosts were warmly welcoming with good wines and a most enjoyable platter. I will be back in March 2023. Valerie Attrill
We stopped at Carricks on our way back from Cornish Point trail ride.
Location - the restaurant has a lovely outlook and plenty of green space for kids to play on. It looked like they may also have picnic mats for those that would like to sit on the lawn and take in the views.
Food - we ordered the duck confit and lamb racks. The duck confit was refreshing and the lamb racks were nicely frenched and prepared. Both meals were yummy.
Service - generally the service was good but the wait for our food took about 45 minutes. This took the sparkle off what would have been a lovely experience. As a result, we dropped our rating to a 4 star.
This is a magic spot and a great place to enjoy a pizza and a glass of rose’ out on the lawn overlooking Bannockburn inlet. Just one thing… should dogs be on a leash? Having been attacked by a supposedly harmless dog before, I was a bit nervous when I was joined on the adjacent table by a Rhodesian Ridgeback (cross?) off its leash. Admittedly, it was very well behaved and I needn’t have worried.
