Review Coffee General - Birkenhead

This is one of my favourite places in the area to grab a coffee. Friendly service and a relaxed, albeit small, place to enjoy a good coffee.

Love this funky vibrant place. Coffee is really good. Right side of the road to get all the morning sun. Several outside tables.Heaps easy street parking, loads of lovely nearby walks.

A sunny day on Hinemoa in a pleasant yesteryear suburb, this little cafe a great place to stop a spell. Friendly service, great coffee.

Ordered a filtered coffee (Ethiopian beans) today to uplift my mood since the weather wasn’t being cooperative. Definitely uplifted right after! Sweet and light uplifting notes. Coming back here for sure.

This place is a cute little hole in the wall. Coffee was good which is hard to find sometimes just with the shear amount of coffee shops in Auckland, can be quite hit and miss when trying something new. Staff were friendly and brought my takeaway cup to where I was sitting. Also I like that it opens slightly earlier than most other coffee shops in Auckland, can be hard to find some caffeine before 7am, which is when you need it most!

Very good coffee, was in and out quick with a takeout.

Lovely customer service Not a huge variety of cabinet food but what they do have is nice Not wheelchair accessible and not much seating inside however a great place to swing by and collect a coffee for the road

I'm a bit of a coffee geek and I run 2 specialty coffee shops and I can tell that this place absolutely kills it. They have a variety of coffee beans to chose for espresso drinks (different blends and even different coffee roasters) which surprised me because it is really hard to handle them all well but they do. I had to long blacks from their own roast and different blends and both were brewed to perfection. This is now my GO TO place for good coffee. The morning sunlight is beautiful and the staff behind the counter super friendly and knowledgable.

Yep. Really liked the coffee there. Definitely 5star blend. I love the big communal table. It makes the place unique. I get all my administrative writing done here, so their beautiful coffee obviously does wonders.

Best coffee in Auckland paired along side the amazing staff - this is the first coffee shop I have been to where the coffee is amazing, the service is amazing and they are so quick! I tried out their cabinet food after eyeing it up for months and wish I tried it sooner - the pesto chicken bagel is SO fresh, asked them where they make it as the shop is so small I thought surely must be off site - but no, all made fresh in store! They now also offer a discounted price for bringing your keep cup - I can't rave about these guys more.

Truely fantastic coffee and a must stop if you need a perfect coffee. Friendly staff and a small amount of seating inside and out. A true coffee shop

Best flat whites in Auckland. All that needs to be said. Sandwiches are pretty good too, and great value. Staff always friendly, and there is usually good entertainment passing on the footpath if you're sitting outside.

Am a regular to this place and have never had a bad coffee.  I have never found a place anywhere that delivers coffee as good as this place and the service is really good

Friendly barristers who really know how to make a fabulous coffee. The cabinet food is simple but the slices I've tried have been perfect with my macchiato. They have a range of blends of beans available for you to chose from for your coffee which is interesting if you are into learning about the flavour attributes of different beans. They also sell green beans for roasting at home - excellent selection and competitive prices. All up, my fav coffee shop.

Cute little space just down the corner from Birkenhead shops; it's full of personality with artsy, hand drawn wall decorations (marker illustration--my favorite kind), cool coffee and tea related trinkets (I love their Coffee General bio cups!), wooden tables and very friendly staff. They have small selections of cabinet food, but really you come all the way here for their really amazing coffee--their flat white is to die for. Do give it a try.
