Beautiful winery with warm and friendly staff. Tasting was very good and the food was amazing too! Highly recommend getting their pairing platter. It has a bit of everything. I'm a red wine drinker so I'm glad tgey had a few of those as well.

Platter is to die for...easily one of the culinary highlights of the trip. Wine and courtyard setting were also very good and staff were excellent

We walked in, took a look and decided to lunch here, and reserved our table. But first, of course, we needed to taste some wines, and we had a very professionally guided flight of some of Giesen's attractive wines (no charge because we were having lunch). We were given a little larger pour of the last wine and advised to enjoy it with our food. I thought that was a very nice touch. The shared platter of meats and cheeses was excellent. Just the kind of food we like, and generally reliable in New Zealand, the selection had been well chosen and was perfectly served. If you are tasting in the area, do make sure to drop by here as the wines are really very good, and if it's the right time of day I do recommend the lunch!

Fantastic place to break up our trip from nelson to Kaikoura. The service from the moment we walked in the door was exceptional. We had one of the platters which was beautifully executed and very well explained to us upon delivery to the table. The free wine tasting when you dine was also a win for us. Many thanks. We look forward to seeing you again.

My friends and I went in for a wine tasting and had a great time. Hilary was very friendly, engaging and answered all of our questions. We got a lot of interesting information, and really felt that it was entertaining. She personalised the information and recommended pairings. We highly highly recommend visiting!

We loved the experience we had here. The lady who was serving us was very chatty (in a good way). There was no issue for us to try different wines. We bought a bottle of wine ($16) and it waved both of our tasting fees ($10 total). Delicious wine with lots of great flavor. Lots of parking and bike stands. They also sell beer.

Visited today with grandchildren again. Wonderful platters, the children loved their food. Good to see fruit and salad on platter. We enjoyed the variety of food on our platter. Amazing service. Another outstanding experience.

We stopped here to grab some lunch and for a wine tasting. The charcuterie board was delicious and plentiful and the wines were delicious (we even bought a bottle). I would highly recommend stopping in here if you're in the region!

Absolutely fantastic wine tasting experience. The lady, Hilary, was friendly and engaging, taking great care to answer all our questions and to provide excellent colour on the background of both wines and vineyards. We loved the Sauvignon Blanc and the Reisling from here, and the Late Harvest is a real winner. Definitely also try the platters. Really big and generous portions that are thoughtfully populated with many flavour enhancing additions like wine grapes and assorted fruit on the cheese platter. So good we adjusted our itinerary to come twice!

On arrival we were quickly served and taken for a wine tasting with a knowledgeable staff member which resulted in me buying some beautifully delicious wines. The whole process was very enjoyable and relaxing and there was no pressure to purchase wines after the tasting (but why wouldn't you?!)

Gorgeous syrupy aromatics on offer. Definitely worth a try to break up a sav-intense Marlborough tour. Gorgeous scenery on offer and cute food options available in a sheltered courtyard should you arrive peckish if touring on bikes :)

If you do anything in New Zealand this is the one vineyard to go. You can get a whole bottle of wine for $16 and food platter delicious for $40 2 people. Service was also brillant.
