Review Allan Scott Bistro - Blenheim

Alan Scott was our first stop in the Marlborough wine region and the meal did not disappoint. We started with the clams, which came in an Asian curry broth and then moved on to the soft shell crab, which was sensational. The beef was ok, but not as good as the amazing seafood options. Plenty of well priced wines by the glass, superb desserts, and an excellent selection of options for people needing a gluten free meal. The setting is superb, a nice sheltered courtyard inside a lovely building. Lovely bathrooms and plenty of free parking right out front. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and excellent right up until the end when our tea and coffee disappeared.

What an exceptional place to dine and relax. The place was a buzz with atmosphere with other diners. We sat out in the garden enjoying amazing sunshine and a beautiful vegetable/flower garden setting. The service was impeccable from start to finish, very attentive, engaging and enthusiastic. The food was absolutely delicious and moreish. We had a bottle of Allan Scott Rosē also the seafood platter, poke bowl and soul bowl. They also had a kids menu which was simple but great for our 10 year old niece. Left feeling content and overwhelmed with joy from the experience we had. Thank you again Allan Scott team.

Delightful first experience My wife and I visited Allan Scott Bistro for lunch on a Friday recently. “Do you have a booking?” manager Nikki enquired. We didn’t but were happily accommodated at one of the corner table. Thereafter Carol looked after us. We ordered 2 mains, both vegetarian. The Soul Bowl and Miso Grilled Eggplant. What arrived to our table was visually delightful and appealing. See photos. The taste of both the dishes was delicious and delectable. The flavours were exceptionally well balanced. In particular, the Soul Bowl was superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals here. We would be happy to come back again and recommend this place to others.

We had a fabulous meal here with excellent food/wine and fantastic hospitality. Nothing beats being made warmly welcome, and being served food that’s made from fresh ingredients ! To top it out is the beautiful setting of the dining space amidst a beautiful vineyard.

Food was amazing. Service was ok, missed some drinks. Atmosphere says family friendly but staff gave the impression that children weren’t so welcome

What a team - fantastic experience from planning to finish! Gathering of 16 family and friends to celebrate a special birthday. The staff met our every need from the very friendly welcome and making sure we had everything we needed. Our group were seated in private area and the food served was incredible with meals arriving to each guest in a timely manner. The venue is very attractive and the staff were there to please - well done.

Absolutely beautiful lunch. We had a large group of 10 plus two toddlers. Everyone's food was delicious, not a single complaint, the atmosphere was great for a cold and dreary day. The outdoor area is perfect for little ones and doesn't bother other diners. And last, the staff were so lovely and accommodating.

Absolutely stunning location and the food is wonderful. First visit was while we biked the vineyards and we liked it so much we went back for a full lunch the next day. Highly recommended the Hapuka, Harissa Pumpkin and agria potatoes are just yummy. Of course they have the full range of Alan Scott wines so that’s just an added bonus.

The hostess/manager and all of the staff made us feel both welcome and as if we were new friends. Food was excellent. Liked it so much we went twice.

Yesterday six of us (four adults and two young boys) had a wonderful lunch at the Alan Scott Bistro. The food was outstanding for all six meals - can highly recommend the aged steak and pork belly currently on the menu. As a result of this wonderful experience we are organising a group to return to the Allan Scott Bistro next weekend. Keep up the great standard of food, service and friendly atmosphere. Nice place. Tasty food but small portions. Small piece of lamb with half of the carrot and half of zucchini and frozen peas 28$. Pork belly was very tasty! Sniper was quite nice but nothing special. Recommend if you want something new.

Really nice restaurant, unfortunately too cold to sit outside. We ordered the edamame, which was a tiny portion. The seafood chowder was very good. The clams were a little chewy and the broth was a bit disappointing. We ordered the wine match for both dishes (Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc) which were both fabulous. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Thoroughly enjoyed our entire visit. The food was next level ! Extremely warm service as well. Loved it 🥰

Beautiful setting with an indoor and outdoor area to enjoy your wine. They have automatic machines where you can pick and choose the wine you want to try. There's a selection of 24 wines to choose from so there's no way you won't find a wine you will enjoy. Ask for their sparkling wine which isn't in the machines. They are really nice!
