Review Harvest Restaurant - Blenheim

Blown away by the service. We let them know we are visiting New Zealand to celebrate our anniversary and they pulled out all the stops to make us feel special. Definitely consider this restaurant for special occasions or just for a nice evening out. We were seated away from the noise in front of a cozy fire so we could enjoy an isolated meal with just each other and a romantic atmosphere. Hospitality was phenomenal, they touched our table enough without ever interrupting our conversation. We ordered the cheddar souffle to start, it was rich in taste but light in texture with a nice acidic salad on the side. I had the steak with mushrooms as my main, it was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My partner ordered the duck and enjoyed that as well. They also gave us complimentary bread and cheese puff pastry to start and chocolate puff pastry as an anniversary dessert; both of the puff pastry styles were such scrumptious bites. The server recommended the perfect wine to pair with my steak when requested with grapes grown on the property. If we return to Marlborough we will prioritize visiting this restaurant again!

We stopped at Harvest for dinner on our journey through New Zealand for the Womenโ€™s World Cup. We had almost the whole place to ourselves. Miqu (I hope I spelled that correctly) was our server, and she was absolutely delightful and played such a huge part in us having a wonderful evening. All of the food and wine we had, from appetizers to dessert, was delicious. Miqu had great recommendations for wine to go with our meals. And the presentation of the food was beautiful as well. Thank you for a great night, Miqu! And thank you for letting us DJ, as well๐Ÿ˜‰

The beautiful classy restaurant located within a very scenic estate. Very delicious fine dining food. Liked everything on our plates, especially loved all the different vegetables that paired with the protein in the main dish. There were different flavours and textures and they all worked together. Staffs were very welcoming and friendly. I think the service could have been more attentive though. Overall, we had a fantastic lunch dining experience. Will definitely come back.

We were visiting the Marlborough region from San Francisco and Harvest was one of the few places that was opened on New Year Day. The restaurant was attached to an inn that was formerly a convent. Beautiful idyllic setting and meal and service exceeded our expectation! Husband had an amazing venison entree and mushroom app while I was still full from our late lunch at Cloudy Bay so I only had charcoal beetroot salad which was exceptional. Our server (I forgot her name!) was from Canada and made us feel welcome - almost like we were at someone's house. Actually the whole staff were like that and welcomed us to the point where we overstayed and were the last ones out.....literally, since most of the staff drove off the premise and one stopped his car and checked up on us while we were still in the car trying to figure how to get back to the hotel in pitch dark! I would definitely return again!

Amazing restaurant in Marlborough! We had a brilliant meal at Harvest which struck the perfect balance between fine dining and comfort food. Everything was perfect, from the service, their wine recommendations, to the food. The lamb is a must try - some of the best weโ€™ve had in our lives - highly recommended!

I thoroughly enjoyed every single moment and every single bite. Every stage of our meal just kept getting better. The mussels were smoky and beautiful. The mushrooms were grilled to perfection and held their own against the meat dishes. We were looked after so graciously by staff, and the kitchen kindly and generously adapted to my dietary restrictions. If you like espresso martinis, you must try theirs. It's the best espresso martini I've ever had. Cannot wait to come back! (We parked at the back and got to see the lovely garden they harvest their ingredients from.)

Delicious top quality food at a very beautiful setting. The staff is very attentive and the chef even personally came out to check if everything was okay. It was way more than okay - everything was perfect! Make sure you order the dry aged steak RARE (55-day dry aged beef rib eye) - it was the most deliciously succulent steak Iโ€™ve ever had ๐Ÿ˜‹

Superb. It's rare to find a restaurant that checks ALL of the below: - green location with divine atmosphere - invariably helpful and kind staff - outstanding cuisine in variety, quality and quantity that is locally sourced - accommodating small kids (3 and 5) - at almost too low prices (we galdly would have paid 30-50% more) The chef has a Michelin Star in Europe and is a gem himself .

As a lover of food - this restaurant is the best in Blenheim!!! Service and food options, plus the history of the leading chef (Michellen background) is absolutely amazing. The souffle is famous with the locals. High quality ingredients, utilising their own garden for the veggies and herbs. A must do.

Stellar. Beyond expectations on both quality and service. The restaurant is suprisingly open to the public, and it was exceptional. Heaven was a delight to talk with as our server and went above and beyond to enhance our already perfect experience. I highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for a fine dining experience.

This was the most lovely experience. We were welcomed at the door and shown to a cosy beautifully decorated dining room. This was a special experience for my mother as she remembered the house from when it was a convent. We had only booked for dessert and we had the vegan triffle which was light and not too sweet, and the panna cotta with rhubarb and ginger. Both were exquisitely presented and very morish. We had cocktails (made with local Roots gin ๐Ÿ˜), wine and fabulous coffee. The only hiccup was that service was very attentive until we had our desserts delivered, after this point we struggled to get the attention of the staff to order coffees and ask for the bill. Will head back in summer and will have a full meal, hopefully the staff will be a bit more attentive.

This has to be one of New Zealands finest restaurants. The food was amazing and each dish was accompanied by a short informative description by the German chef. An outstanding gourmet experience.

Harvest Restaurant is an amazing experience for dining out. Every time we go here, it never disappoints. The staff are fantastic and provide an atmosphere that you'll remember for ever. The food is the best experience. I don't know how they do it, but it's unbelievably good. The wine list fantastic, and once you've experienced good wine, there's no turning back My favorite place

2nd time we visited - Lovely meal and atmosphere and great staff. We are looking forward to our 3rd visit - our 1st visit was when kind friends gave us a gift voucher and introduced us to Harvest Restaurant. 2nd visit we selected: Slow roasted grass-fed beef rump and Ocean speared butterfish.

From the moment you turn into the drive and through the gates you get a feeling this will be special. The whole evening, from the smiling person greeting us at the door to the last delicious mouthful was a delight. The food, the staff and the location are all five star. Just loved it.
