Review Gohan On Scott - Blenheim

Got the Sizzling Scotch Fillet for lunch today and it came with so many sides. All of which were super delicious. And the steak just cooked to perfection. So much flavour in just one meal. The atmosphere is just awesome. And I love how Bo looks after her restaurant and comes up with so many creative and delicious dishes. The presentation and food are always spot on. Can't wait to try everything on the menu 😁🥰👌

Fantastic food. Amazing service. The owner is absolutely lovely and welcoming. I'm lactose intolerant and were extremely accommodating. I'll definitely be coming again the next time I'm in Blenheim. Will be our go to place when we pass through!!

Lovely food. Great sushi, great salads, great beef. Especially loved the vulcano sushi. Everything is really fresh and made of quality ingredients.

We had a most Delicious meal of seafood teppanyaki, Pork Tonkatsu, Tempura Soba and Agadeshi Tofu. Great food great value. Highly recommended

Highly recommend! If you wanna an unique Japanese food experience in Blenheim, that's the place! Going to Gohan since their opening and tried pretty much every dish on their menu, I am never disappointed. The flavours are always amazing, beautiful presentation and generous portion for a very reasonable price. Thank you for the careful customer service, always been a good moment there!

There is a reason Gohan is often full. It makes the best Japanese food in Blenheim -- no contest. And Bo and her husband look after their diners so well. There are so many dishes we like, but our favourites are the grilled salmon and the chicken teriyaki. Absolute comfort food that tastes beautiful!

Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Blenheim! The foods are always amazing, never disappointed. Love everything on the menu, which is bit of hard to choose what to order every time, because I just wanna try everything 😋

I had an enjoyable night here. Would certainly go again. It was a busy night, so some meals took a while to arrive, but that being said the meal was great. 🙂 Very reasonably priced with adequate portions.

A wonderful japanese fusion restaurant. Ordered karage chicken which was really tasty. The chef recommended sushi platter was not bad and the ramen that i ordered, sadly, is not to my taste. Dont get me wrong, its still good but its my personal preference only, that its a bit salty.

Amazing Amazing!! Absolute beauty!!! Their Wings on Fire is something that is nothing but exceptional!! Loved their Chicken fried rice and also their dumplings! Must visit if you are in Blenheim!

I’m so grateful this shop opened in Blenheim, which really brought the quality of Asian food in town up to a new level, innovative yet authentic, I hadn’t had a good bowl of Ee on Rice for so long, I devoured it in matter of seconds!

As a student with a palate set for new experiences Gohan left no room for disappointment. Its wide range of menu items were jaw-dropping and the options felt almost endless. The food just won't let you forget it, so if you're looking for new cuisine and food that bites back look no further than central town Gohan on Scott. Gohan restaurant had a welcoming environment which immediately lead you to excited and calm feeling. The place had a very minimalist but also traditional design about it so it didn't look to out-there and strange or too boring, it was a perfect mix of the two. The lighting was very mellow so it kept you calm. the little details like the paintings and wallpaper were half modern and other looked more traditionally Japanese it was all very nicely done and gives you a good place to go to relax. The menu had so many options it was hard to make a choice of all the amazing looking Japanese cuisine. Each dish looked like a whole different array of flavor's and textures. They had extremely affordable meals that all looked just as good as each other it was hard not to go off budget. For example they had sushi, ramen, squid, wontons, sashimi and that's only a third of all the incomprehensible dishes offered to you. They also offered everyone at the table a complimentary bowl of miso soup to try, which was nothing short of an explosion of flavor. the crispy squid tentacles were covered in the some amazing herbs and spices to make it an ever changing wheel of flavors, every one better than the last. The pricing is just like a student's dream. It was not only extremely affordable but the food portions were massive compared to what you'd pay for them, I'm extremely grateful for their student friendly pricing it allows me to stay under budget and still be fuller than ever. The service wasn't the most impressive that I've ever seen but it was anything but bad. Our waiter was very patient and calm but just not very enthusiastic and didn't seem very interested, but still not off putting lovely people just a bit tired since she was the only waiter working at the time - I'm assuming. To summarize I think Gohan is an amazing place to go for anybody. It's affordable, plentiful options, amazing portion sizes, tasty food, lovely and calming atmosphere that you could sit in for hours. It's even student friendly with their meals being from around $10-$25 for a whole meal. It leaves you with a whole lot more memories and things to talk to people about than you thought you could with a restaurant. I highly recommend this to not only students but anyone looking for a nice place to get some food. If you like Japanese cuisine or just trying different food in general than this place is absolutely perfect for you. it's an amazing experience with barely any flaws other than tired workers and even then the food is cooked in an instant.

Found this place entirely randomly- we are from out of town. We had chicken katsu curry & buta miso pork (braised pork belly in a sweet miso sauce). The meals were absolutely delicious! The tiramisu was lovely to finish off.

Wonderful food, lovely atmosphere with great service is always a winning combination. Being in town on business, this was a first try. The Wings on Fire were superb and my chicken curry Katsu outstanding. Everyone else at the table loved their meals and the delight was yet to come - We were chatting at our table and the hostess picked up on our conversation about tofu and particularly me saying I enjoyed tofu. Unrequested she brought a free tofu dish to our table for us to try …. Well it was sublime. Quick baked tofu with a dash of sauce which had a prominent Sishuan Pepper flavour. It was like having a savoury, hot marshmallowy delight! Yum!! Definitely a must visit spot in Blenheim

I had the chefs choice platter(highly recommend) and the house made gyoza, all the food was excellent. Great quality and tasted amazing. The service I received was top notch and very friendly. 5/5 will be ordering from here again. Must try if in Blenheim!
