Review Thai Lemon - Browns Bay

I was called by a lovely young man to specify my mums needs (she doesn’t like pepper or spicy) he phoned me to ask details. For someone to call and be so caring to ask was so amazing and honorable. I was just stupid I didn’t order rice. But I tasted everything and it was amazing! Next time I’ll order Thai hot 🥰 thank you for calling.

10/10 amazing, their bubble tea fizzy watermelon is honestly amazing. The people are also super friendly. I quickly became a regular. Would definitely recommend trying!

Fantastic place. Called up and ordered a tofu dish and they checked if I was OK with egg and fish sauce. So great to see a food business being proactive and checking things like this. The food was also incredibly tasty and was ready in a very short time. Will definitely return

Wow, the red curry, pad thai and side veges are amazing. Portions could be a just a little bit bigger, but everything is pricy now, so its reasonable none the less. Will come here again at a given chance.

Great authentic Thai flavor which is similar in Thailand compare to other Thai around, lucky we found one now, will be regular every week

Tasty Thai meals, reasonably priced. Got some takeaways on Friday night, had to wait for about 15 min or so but was ok. Parking can be an issue especially on Fri night. Had Pad Thai, Thai Golden, and Prawn Fried Rice with plenty of prawns, all tastes fantastic

Delicious Pad Thai!! Nice and lemony- noodles moist and good portion size.

Delicious beef noodles soup, stewed beef were perfect cooked, you can ask the chef do make it Thai spicy in your bowl or you can add the spicy sauce when you feel not enough.

Just the best Thai food in town absolutely the best ! So fresh and delicious and healthy. I go here weekly !!!

I have been coming here for awhile now. Love the pad thai, Spring rolls & Customer service! Haven’t quite tried anything else on the menu because I’m stuck with those to highly recommend.

Best Thai food on in Auckland. We got oyster sauce chicken and it was so yummy and fresh! Lots of veggies and good quality chicken. Big portion sizes too. Customer service was also amazing. The young man who took our order was so friendly, polite and just great to deal with. Will order from here again definitely <br/>

Best Thai I know of around the North Shore. Always fresh and delicious! Staff are friendly and meals are always consistent. Would definitely rate this place.

Best service ever, and yummy food. Only thing I would suggest is if they could use a more eco friendly box for the rice as it's currently served (for takeaway) in polystyrene. Though I will bring my own reusable containers for the next time I visit :)

Staff here are so so lovely and the food is delicious, not quite 5 star quality but still my local Thai place that I'll keep coming back to.

Our little local, literally a 5 minute drive from home which makes it super convenient.<br/><br/>The young gentleman who runs the ordering is really awesome, he is what more restaurants need for a front of house person.<br/><br/>Food is good, we normally get the lemon grass chicken which my wife and I both enjoy.<br/><br/>Have tried a few other dishes but always end up back at the lemon grass chicken. Satay skewers aren't bad either.<br/><br/>Food: 70%<br/>Ambience: 67%<br/>Service: 90%

Probably not the best Thai in town but very good service, friendly staff and worth going back. Don’t take me wrong, the food is testy but could be more authentic👍

<br/>We like South East Asian food, especially Thai, and tried the Thai Lemon in Browns Bay last weekend. This is primarily a takeaway although there are a few basic tables on site. The menu offers a substantial range of tasty sounding dishes. We went for the crispy chicken, sesame prawns, BBQ pork and roti. The chicken was succulent, tender and tasty, the prawns were OK, and the pork (marinated in honey and lemongrass) was the standout - full of the flavour of lemongrass and BBQ taste. The roti was light and flaky. We will definitely add Thai Lemon to our regular takeaways list, and be back to try more of their extensive menu.

The only reason they lost a mark here is that I would like the prices to be a little lower. But, that said, the reason that I may want that is because we always order so much because there are just so many good options and they always taste great.<br/>The restaurant has a nice simple eating area if you want to dine in, and with staff so friendly (without fail) it is always tempting and inviting to stay, but we generally take away.<br/>We go a little out of our way to this place as it is always so consistently great.<br/>Well done!

Thai lemon is definitely the best Thai on the shore! The chef Tuk, has perfected every inch of her menu! All staff are extremely friendly and ready to serve with a smile. All meals can be made to your spice/non spice level needs and you'll be coming back for more, I guarantee it!

Absolutely love it here, great service and very friendly staff. I'm a massive fan of the pad Thai and would definitely say best pad Thai on the shore! 10/10 recommend

I love Thai Lemon. They have lots of vegan and vegetarian options! Also everyone who works there is super lovely and friendly! My go to for some quick Thai!

Got takeaways from here the other day quite late at night and they were really friendly on the phone and helpful. We ordered fried rice, drunken noodles & satay chicken. My favourite was defiantly the fried rice and then the satay chicken. If you live round the local bays area def try here for cheap and easy Chinese takeaway.

Very average food. I got black pepper tofu and it was extremely gingery .. Can't taste anything else except Ginger. So strong and very unpleasant. I would recommend them to put lil less ginger from next time..

Thai lemon has a wonderful atmosphere genuine, smiley and happy. Food made from such wonderful people is always the best. I absolutely adore the Lemongrass Chicken but have tried many other dishes and they are all fantastic if you haven't been before its definitely worth the visit. Even on the phone they are lovely and polite easy to hear and they are very fast at completing there orders its a place that makes you feel welcome its a place to be enjoyed. :) Perfect place for Valentines day! :)

I have been to many restaurants in my life but I was extremely impressed with the food and service at Thai Lemon.  I ate late but received quality attention and the mixed appetizer was just supreme. Quickly served and whilst I ate my delicious meal I observed several people coming and going with their orders. I was impressed how the staff delivered the bought meals to people waiting in their cars. Definitely worth a visit. Terrific value for money. I might mention the premises was very clean and tidy

I love this place! Fresh tasty healthy food at a great price and generous portions . The owners are lovely and they prepare your dinner quickly with no fuss and they even take the time to learn and remember your name .Nothing to not like really!.

When we are hungry for thai food we always come here. Great food, great service, and always cooked on time with a smile. Anyone looking for a good thai restaurant in the browns bay area should definitely come here.

Was a long-term customer, putting a rather large amount of emphasis on the "was", as after tonight's disappointment I'd never return. <br/>As a vegetarian this used to be a favourite spot, they used to make great tofu Thai dishes.<br/>I assume there has been a change of operations at the store, as the food I had was tasteless.<br/>The vegetables were straight out of the freezer and the tofu poorly cooked.<br/>I was charged for rice, which is normally free (as in industry standard when you order a curry that is meant to be eaten on rice), after already ordering a curry and spring rolls. <br/>The spring rolls were delicious, but came with about 10ml of dipping sauce, enough for approx. one spring roll. <br/><br/>For the $24; i got a basic and tasteless curry, a small portion of rice and some spring rolls with a comical amount of dipping sauce. <br/><br/>Tl;tr: I was overcharged for poor quality food, of which id say is comparable in quality to what an adolescent child who's just learning to cook would make, something that is  edible, but only because you wouldn't want to hurt their feelings by not eating it.

Awesome food especially the chilli pepper chicken, and the salt and pepper squid. Great friendly service and good prices. It is the best Thai food in the Long Bay, Torbay, Browns Bay area. Will be back soon for sure :)

The worst thai food ever and when I called the manager to complain he says its not his problem, the manager had a dont care attitude , i would not advise anyone to eat there.

Really nice thai food ... better than other places around because it is real thai and hasn't been westernised. Regular visitor and will keep going back.<br/> <br/><br/>New owners and I must point out that the dishes have improved even more based on the last owner. Extremely happy and the extra touch that they put of something into their dishes makes it that much better. Highly highly recommend that you try this place again especially if you have had a bad experience in the past.

Have been going here for some time now. Always enjoy the tastes / flavours, always found food to be fresh and well priced.... but<br/>Two friends of mine who have been eating here as well have come to the conclusion that there is a reduction in the amounts of actual food and an increase in liquid. I have to admit after paying more attention to this I do believe they are right. Im still happy to buy at present (they are not anymore they tell me), but I really do hope this trend does NOT continue. I would rather pay another dollar and have a full container than see sizes reduced.

I ordered tonight,  Curry Puffs , number 18 Stir Fry Chilli Paste and the number 28 Massaman Curry. Curry puff was really disappointing-didn't even taste like a normal Thai curry puff! Both main meals were Really SWEET!!! Its as though they chuck in spoon fulls of Sugar! Even my husband who has a natural sweet tooth thought it was weird as both were really sweet! Sorry, not authentic! And Not a good experience at all. I love Thai food, and this was a TOTAL waste of $ Disappointing as they're close by.

Great Thai, eventually found this place as a replacement for Thai Beach (now re-named) which went downhill with new owners. Glad we were forced to look as it is always nice. Very fresh crisp veggies, large portions, lots of meat and a nice spicy heat when asked for.

the worst thai ever had . the pork was smelling the taste was terrible . we through in the bin both meals . the rise was not absorbing the sauce as it should and no spices. I think one of the meals was off. the only good thing was nice and friendly staff

First time here. Place was clean, bright and the vegetables you could see laid out in the kitchen looked nice and fresh. Good price and friendly service. My dish with rice could be one large meal or enough for two small meals. Will return.

We are very happy with the new Thai Lemon take-away in Browns Bay. Finally a more authentic Thai Food take away in the area Long Bay, Torbay, Browns Bay which offers a good quality and range of Thai food.<br/><br/>The staff is very friendly too and will accept extra wishes if you like to have more or a different selection of ingredients.<br/><br/>As a summary, the combination of quality, quantity and price is the best in the area.

This is quite a new Thai takeaway in Browns Bay but we love this place already. They make delicious food with fresh, quality ingredients. You can see the kitchen and watch them prepare your food - it is so clean! If you like Thai food you must try this place.
