Stopped in looking for takeaway and ended up eating in, Staff are super friendly and polite , Food was fresh with nice crunchy vegetables ,I had the pork spare ribs anf my partner had scewered pork and a side of Spring rolls, Also a great view of the beach from the balcony

Tucked away upstairs lies a quaint and stylish place. Atmosphere and food perfect.And the food portions are substantial. Excellent Service.Highly Recommended

A brand new Hansan in Brownsbay. Delicious foods with fair price, as good as other Hansans but with the best decor! My new favourite place.

Great Vietnamese and Chinese food. I go there regularily. Huge portions and cheap prices.

Amazing food and a very decent price

Went here today after school with my 6year old son for a quick meal. Yummy tasty meat dishes for my son ( appetisers) and I had an aromatic raw beef noodle soup. HIGHLY recommend. Food was excellent and service friendly and welcoming. Prices are excellent and will definitely be back again with all the family🤩

My family and I had a late lunch a couple of weeks ago and we really liked the place and food. The restaurant is large, has an outdoor area which has ocean view and is very clean obviously as they've just opened. Tasty food and nice presentation. Clean and slightly renovated toilets. We'll go again.

Really enjoyed our lunch today, well exceeded our expectations, great service, delicious meals and well priced. Don't let negative reviews put you off trying we almost did but so glad we tried anyway. We will be back.

Not terribly busy. Always a nice atmosphere. Customer service is excellent, they alwayd check with me if my drink is okay, and offer a replacement if it isn't. Their pho is way better than the other Hansans in Auckland and probably my favourite pho in Auckland. Location is good but can be challenging to find a parking space as it is close to the beach, in the middle of the town.

Been a couple of times already. Was very excited when we heard Hansan was opening down the road. As the others very good value for money. Best thing that could have gone into that hole in the middle of Browns bay. Will be back again and again :)

Really yummy food, good prices and nice atmosphere

Generous portions, very tasty, would have liked more vegetarian options, a tofu dish would have been nice. Will definitely go again.

Best Vietnam restaurant in Auckland. Good food, good staff, good price, clean and spacious. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Food is really good and well priced. The service was a little slow, we had to get the servers attention to order, even though we were one of three tables the night we went. When we finished our meal we had to go up and ask for a takeaway box as nobody came to clear our table. I would visit again based on the food and price.

Best hansan branch in Auckland. Atmosphere and ambience of this restaurant is really nice with great service. Pho here also taste better than other hansan, broth is rich and noodle texture is nice woth thicker meats.

For years I have always enjoyed eating at Hansan, I have introduced many friends too. The food is always full of flavour and arrives on your table so quickly too. The staff are lovely and the place always feels clean and has a great atmosphere 😁

I didn't expect to see a spacious dining area and the long strip of sea view over the veranda after entering the small entrance going upstairs. Its a bonus to have a good dining experience.<br/><br/>The meal I ordered was not a juicy type so the soup attached to the meal helped me to get some of the rice go down my food passage. Even with rice, I found the flavor of the soup a bit salty.<br/>The dried small pieces of meat and the sausage were not my favorite but what I like about this dish is that I can try a variety on one plate.<br/><br/>The serving lady was friendly giving me a small talk.

Me and my husband love this restaurant and often come here or with friends.  <br/>Lovely food, very good service and clean and spacious dining environment suitable for social gathering as well.  Plan to come and host our Christmas party.....

I love this place! Great view, good food and staff are very friendly:) I had eddnoodle soup with grilled lemongrass chicken and absolutely loved it. Out of all the Hansan noodle stores, this branch is the best.

Located near the beach. Food is good. Not many Vietnamese other options nearby. Service is ok. Amibience is ok. Seaview is good but sandy wind and occasional birds.

Pretty big servings of delicious Vietnamese food. It’s definitely not the best, but good enough to satisfy my cravings. Restaurant is spacious with sea views. They also have a mini casino of slot machines. What a nice add on!

Been here couple of times and the pho is always amazing. The interior looks cool but the the only thing I don't like is that it is always so hot and stuffy inside as there is no a/c.

Got Uber eats from here the other night. We had both fresh and fried spring rolls as well as the won tons for starters. All were really good. We got the fried chicken on vermicelli for our mains that was also very good. We have eaten at the restaurant before and that was also good but the service was slow. I would go back again.

The food was quite tasty and a decent portion for the price.  Service was a little lacking, especially since it wasn't busy.  Good for a lunchtime snack.

Really good. Went on recommendation from tested fellow tubby diner. My only hesitation was the location, but only because so many other establishments had come here to die. Entry is hard to find, and hard to advertise, but don't let this stop you. I haven't been to the other 5 or so sister branches so this was a first. Also I am not a seasoned Vietnamese foodie, but I know my stuff. This was good, really good. The owner and staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and service was great. I'd say ignore the teething reviews and try for yourself. My tip is to order many entrees to get the full experience. So many delights. Gold.

Ordered my lunch here for takeaway. I called ordering B16. And said BEEF countless times to the guy on the phone and he said ok. Then picked up my food. Asked him if its beef. He said yes. Then when i got back to work to eat it, it was pork. I dont eat pork. So disappointing. Had no lunch. Waste my time and money.

You can’t go wrong with the good old Hansan franchise when you’re craving some Vietnamese food.<br/><br/>Service: 8/10<br/>I came between lunch and dinner so the restaurant was quite empty. We were seated after standing at the counter for a bit and we ordered our food quickly. The food was served in about 20 minutes. The waitress was quick and we were satisfied after the meal.<br/><br/>Food: 8/10<br/>I ordered the red bean with coconut cream. It was a nice cool drink for a hot summers day. I don’t really like super sweet drinks but this was just slightly sweet. I also ordered my usual pork spare ribs rice noodle soup. It tasted better than usual and the spare ribs weren’t oily or greasy. <br/><br/>Ambiance: 7/10<br/>The doors were all fully open so birds kept flying inside. This allowed the windy breeze to come in. The tables were all clean and the restaurant was maintained well.

Would give a zero if I could. The staff have no idea what customer service is. They sent out inedible chicken, I let the waitress know that it was not very nice, she then went to the kitchen and came back with a raw piece of chicken to rudely "explain" that there was nothing wrong with the chicken. I said I didn't care what she was saying about the raw chicken it wasn't nice and I can't eat it (Others at my table tried it too and said the same thing), the waitress then walked away, she didn't ask if I wanted to order anything else or try to rectify the fact that I now had nothing to eat. When it came time to pay, she then tried to charge me for the inedible chicken, to which I continuously had to repeat there was no way I would pay for that as she refused to take it off the bill. She then had to get 3 other staff to try to charge me for the food I could not eat. Each staff member equally as rude as the last before finally taking it off the bill. I have NEVER experienced such disgusting behaviour at a restaurant and am not surprised that they had no other customers in the restaurant on a Saturday night.

Hansan has always been a decent everyday choice for Vietnamese. They have all the standard choices, decent portion, decent taste, good price, reasonably clean - not much to complain about.<br/>This branch has slightly better environment than other branches, but the food can taste slightly different from branch to branch. I can’t say for sure but maybe it’s slightly saltier in this branch.<br/>Personally I enjoy the egg noodles with pork/chicken, with chicken wings/spring rolls on the side.<br/>Come here with family from time to time.

went here and was thoroughly disappointed. we sat in the outside seating. <br/><br/>I had to get our own chopsticks from a table inside because they served the food without utensils, and did not bring them even when asked. they also didn't bring the sauce for the pho noodles I ordered. you could barely get anyone's attention as if they were ignoring you on purpose. and it wasn't even that busy. <br/><br/>ordered the pho noodles and the noodles were clumped together in the bottom of the bowl. <br/><br/>my partner had a shrimp dish which she didn't enjoy also.<br/><br/>the iced coffee was good.

Probably one of the worst dining experiences. Entrees were delayed as were the drinks, we watched while others received their mains, only to discover our orders had never been placed. Will not be returning, very disappointed.

Stirfried chicken with rice noodles tasted really good at first , but then towards the end of my meal the rice noodles were sitting in a very oily soup(especially at the bottom of my bowl)Also the rice paper rolls with pork and prawn were very disappointing. The pork was so dry with no taste (it was very over cooked or fake pork)

When we knew that another Hansan branch was opened, this time in Browns Bay, we decided to try it out. We usually came to the one in Wairau Valley, but I think this one will be our favourite from now. It's cozy, food is delicious, and the sea views are a real plus.

Really great location and friendly enough staff. Sadly the food was very oily and not of great quality. I won't be going back any time soon, sadly.

Wow! Just wow!! What else can I say... we walk into a restaurant and say "we need to be somewhere in 40 minutes can we make this work" they had our food to us in about 13 minutes flat! It was incredible!! The food was so delicious, the flavors were amazing and well, I cannot fault the service either. The place was clean and decorated beautifully. Condiments available to spice up your meal to your choosing and $25 for two incredible mains.... That's a bargain!!<br/><br/>Will most definately be returning. They were outstanding!!

Lemon grass chicken on rice (c13) Chicken was only warm not hot and very oily. Plus they charge for tea now. I've have been going to new market Hansan for years . To be honest this meal was well below the standard in new market. Would think twice before returning.

I love Vietnam noodles and never had any problem with the order while dining at the restaurant. But with the phone (takeaway) order, I ordered Seafood Combination Rice Noodles but came home to find out that it's a Meat Combination. Very disappointing and will NEVER phone order my dinner from Hansan.

Had dinner here a couple of times with the family. Great friendly staff and quick service for the food that was tasty and looked just like the menu did. <br/>Decent priced food too, finally somewhere we can go for dinner with the family that won't leave us out of pocket!<br/>Nice spacious place that has attractive design.<br/>Will be returning.

My favourite Vietnamese joint has arrived in Browns Bay! I was absolutely delighted when I found out about them opening an outlet here. The interior is very clean, everything looks pristine and brand new. The food offerings are the same as any other Hansan outlets as far as I could tell. I ordered the combination beef pho noodle soup, the flavour is amazing but the broth is just warm, just barely enough to cook the raw beef. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Will definitely be back!

Outstanding! Amazing food for an amazing price, the service is so quick and the staff are all lovely. This is 100% going to become a regular place to go too. <br/>Such a huge menu to choose from all the food is fresh and full of flavour.

as much as i would like to give a perfect rating like others, unfortunately my experience was completely different. i had a phone order for hainamese chicken rice (i always on the look out for hainamese chicken rice as this is one of my favorite foods) but when i came in to pick it up, they asked me if i want a plain rice with it as they run out of the chicken /oily rice or may be to order something else. they could have told me on the phone that they are sold out and i wouldn't have wasted my time and petrol for nothing. not good at all !  i have been a long customer of their wairau branch.. so when i heard they opened up in browns bay, i thought i give it a go. but all i got is nothing but a disappoinment.

We popped in and found it was their opening day. The food looked a lot nicer physically than pictures on the board outside. We ordered a mix of food at the table so we could try a few things. The spicy chicken curry with vermicelli which was excellent. Good portion size and reasonably priced. The beef curry was also excellent. My daughter had a pork wonton soup which was a little bland for me but she liked it a lot. They did have some nice chilli one could add. My daughter was also delighted to find they have bubble tea which she loves. Friendly staff too.
