Great service with a smile, great young lad served us and took away our dishes, awesome 10/10. Nice surroundings. Lily pad people saying hello when passing. Nice to be included and not forgotten once you have paid. Would definitely have a return visit.

This is a great cafe in the countryside with amazingly atmosphere and beautiful food. It has a children’s playground and indoor and outdoor seating. Also a gas fireplace for the winter. Never disappoints. Great coffee too!

We came upon this cafe by sheer luck and what a happy accident that was - excellent food, fantastic service from friendly staff, and a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for wholesome, quality food. We will definitely be back.

I popped out the lily pad cafe, after I did a Google search for a cafe. The staff were so friendly, helpful and engaging. I tried something a little different that I've never tried before, a hot chocolate with a caramel shot. So good. The food was a great size, for the price, well presented and yummy. Thank you for an enjoyable morning. Well done to all staff. Thank you again Kind regards Lisa

Beautiful anesthetics, wooden benches, lovely flowers on each of them, a warm fireplace, lots of pastry options, pleasant staff, quick service, a nice playground which my 5yr old liked. He loved the binoculars 😊 Good experience. We had a good choice in the menu considering we don't eat pork and beef.

Great coffee, great food. Friendly service. The garden is lovely this time of the year and looking good now. Love it!

Good food, great atmosphere. Had an unusual experience with waitress making a mistake with the order, and then forcing us to have the wrong dish, because "it's already in the fryer, you see".

Carefully crafted atmosphere ----- casual yet confident ------- with one of the best visual design presentations of its type in NZ both inside and out ( flowers on every table ------- clever curated rewilding planter boxes outside ----- vibrant window boxes etc ------- we salute you! ) A comprehensive menu with a number of 'global' inclusions result in meals being flavourful and well presented -------- a hiccup with the quality of the 'open steak sandwich ' will no doubt soon be expertly corrected The creation of the delights in the 'sweet treat' display cabinet is deserving of a medal (to the extent a local luxury food store asks Lily Pad to supply them) Service throughout our visit was equally impressive! Lily Pad stands out as an example of 'Best in class' and although situated slightly out of town this only enhances its countryside appeal and every effort should be made to visit!

An interesting place with good vibes, the staff were super friendly and the food was decent. The art work around is quite nice, they all have a price and can be brought.

The enviroment is really cool with many creactive garden arts. Iced mocha is the top recommendation for drink in summer. Overall the amount is quite big. We also ordered lamb tarco and little pad breakfast. Taste is good. :D

Great coffee and beef salad. Awesome staff - thanks to the chap that sorted my phone! I have been there previously with my dog and really appreciated hem bringing a bowl of water for her. Always a top place to take visitors with the garden and art shop as extra incentive.

We’ve been for brunch quite a few times over the years, and the food is as good as the coffee, but it would be so much better if the chefs seasoned their eggs, or if salt & pepper shakers were on the tables.

I ordered a chicken burger with kumara fries and my toddler got a kids slider with fries. They were both amazing. So tasty and worth its value. They also have a kids playground at the back which was entertaining. Will definitely be back.

I've been meaning to get to Lily Pad for months now & wasn't disappointed. On a cold winter's morning the fire was roaring. Had the best eggs & crispy bacon on toast in ages followed by an insane Baileys donut..all washed down with a great coffee. Service was fantastic!! Will definitely be going back & taking friends next time.
