Review In Stone Cafe - Cambridge

Lovely place and first time having a coffee in a glass, but was fine. Ordered Eggs Benedict which was lovely. The bacon and eggs were done well and the sauce was great. The only downside was it being served on English Muffins which didn't help much with the clean up afterwards. Other than that, it was great. Would have given 4 1/2 stars if I could.

Nice hot chocolate, crispy fries, nice light carrot cake. Enjoyed the open chicken sandwich which had lots of chicken and avocado. Nice coffee. Small inside but offers pleasant outdoor seating for those who like to watch the traffic go buy.

Lovely food, great service. The staff talking, laughing, and singing with each other added to the chill atmosphere. Great to hear people happy at work! 😊

Food and coffee are good but quite often the service is VERY slow and they never let you know. We've been quite a few times and it's a bit hit and miss on whether we wait 10 minutes or 30 for a coffee.

Okay not a bad place. Not a huge fan of their coffee, it has been hard finding coffee here in NZ. We came in and placed our order, seems normal for two people to pay a little over $30 for each meal total. I ordered their egg meal which I ordered poached eggs (2) served over Vogel with bacon. Well the bacon was long pieces, not so uniform. But they were soft like ham, with a semi sear. Was thinking more of crispy strips. Hubby got the french toast which came with bananas and bacon. He also got a long black, which at one place we were told a long black is like an americano in the USA. It seemed to be espresso served with cream and water. There were sugar pots on the table. We were missing salt and pepper. Staff were friendly enough.

The food and tea/coffee were very good. Obviously we'll supported by the locals and space was hard to find. The service was impeccable.

Such a lovely cafe. Came here for breakfast. Got eggs bene, and a big breakfast. So yummmmy. I got a side of chips. And they were so perfect and crunchy just how I like them.

WOW!!! When I walked into this establishment I did not expect to feel the way that I did. I was instantly welcomed with bright kind smiles by every staff member in this cafe. I have never felt so welcomed at a cafe in my life! I sat down to dine in and I watched the outstanding service that these incredible staff members continually provided to every person who walked through their doors. They knew nearly every customers name! It was a super busy place which does not at all surprise me because when the service AND the food are the good it is absolutely going to be a popular place to go. It was such a beautiful atmosphere, I wanted to stay longer! I will absolutely be returning when I stop in at Cambridge again for a meal or a coffee. Must experience!

Great food, good service, ok coffee. Handy location opp.. the BP servo as you drive into cambridge Better than main street for parking. Some tables out side but sheltered under a big awning. Friendly staff...caramel oatie slice or apricot slice. Instant energy for cyclists.

Was in a hurry this morning, popped in to purchase a bacon and egg muffin and a croissant, I was happy to take them away fresh not toasted however was not asked and waited the ten minutes or so to have them heated, on way to Hamilton I discovered the muffin was like eating a rubber tyre, terrible! Couldn't eat it so tried the croissant, well, one bite and the taste of the charcoal burnt base underneath it of which I didn't notice initially, man truly disappointed, this is my first post on any site like this but sorry wasn't happy, hope they can improve.

What a great wee cafe! My daughter and I stopped for lunch and the thing which struck me was the welcome smile which the waitress who served us greeted us with. This freindly, nothings too difficult attitude obviously was from the top and made the fantastic food all the nicer. this wee place is well worth a visit!
