Review Sushi Cafe Kisso - Cambridge

Place was a little run down, but the sushi was great. The salmon on the nigiri was gigantic it was bigger than my hand. Overall a great sushi place

Always go back everytime we come home from Australia. Been a customer since my uni days which was 12 or so years ago. The last time we were there I didn't even realise ownership had changed but the salmon and teriyaki salmon are still as big juicy and delicious as the first time! Love this place.

One of best sushi in the waikato... Used to be owned and operated by an old jap couple but now operated by new Korean owners, still good. The biggest and best fresh salmon / teriyaki salmon sushi.. Yum

Best fresh Tereyaki Salmon sushi in the Waikato. Ensure you get here early as they offer sell out quickly. Lots of range. Very fresh. The owners will make the Tereyaki Salmon sushi to order.

Changed ownership to a pair of young Korean couple.. food are just as nice. Would go back.

First time sushi eating, pity shop is not bigger as it was busy and cramped. Not sure on glad wrap covering the food, it was not on half, more of a smile from lady.

This is the best sushi in the Waikato. I have going there since this lovely husband and wife team opened. The portions are more generous than any other that I have been too. The teriyaki salmon is always perfect but you may have to ask for it if they are very busy. It is always best to get in early as this is very popular with the locals.<br/>Love this place and the people :)

This place used to be good in 2011 but now the staff don't talk or even smile for that matter, I bought sushi under the chicken label which looked like eel but she assured me it was chicken....got it home and I was right....eel. Beef sushi tasted like the beef was rotten. I will never go back. Awful service, awful food.

Have been going to Kisso ever since it first opened - this is the BEST sushi in the Waikato, perhaps even further! Their fresh and teriyaki salmon is to die for, with ENORMOUS pieces of salmon. HUGE pieces of salmon! I note another reviewer states prices are a bit higher than most - I disagree. I also rate their other sushi highly too, there is nothing average about any of their offerings. Regarding the comment about the owners' attitude, this couple are hard cases, a bit cheeky, but always friendly, perhaps the customer took their humour the wrong way? I just love them, and would give them 10 stars if I could.

I am actually surprised there haven't been any reviews on this place!<br/>Their most famous sushis are their fresh and teriyaki salmon - absolutely amazing. The fish is so fresh and the teriyaki is grilled to just the right softness. Remember to ask for it at the counter<br/>However, their other sushis are all average. And their price is a bit higher compared to other sushi stored around Hamilton. <br/>Dislike the attitude of the owners though...
