What a lovely café with an amazing variety of ice cream flavours! The portion was so generous that it wouls pass off as a proper meal. We would gladly go for another scoop next time !

Excellent place to stop for a break when travelling. Food is good quality and reasonably.priced. Lemon slice is great, and almost a meal in itself! 😊 (e.g. good value for money!) Outdoor seating area is well used albeit a bit worn, inside area is spacious and comfortable. Owner is a great host, and staff were helpful.

Poor things. About 20 of us appeared for lunch. They ate everything and cleaned out a lot of shelves hence we had issues hearing our number being called. What was left to eat was nice but wasnt enough, oh well. Lovely ladies behind the counter.

The staff there are very homely and polite. The kai was so yummy and it was a great place to stop and refresh ourselves before heading off to the north.

Fantastic food and service, great coffee, very friendly and accomodating- recommend stopping in if your passing through Cheviot

Good value cafe. Try the Tradie pie. Bacon & Cheese & Beefburger in pie pastry. Never had one before in NZ anywhere. Works well with an energy drink after a long hot ride or drive. 👍

Great quality and quantity of takeaway and instore food options. Clean and tidy premises. Good parking.

Only try to go in when it's quiet. Great kids icecreams for $1. Worth the walk down there on a hot day

A nice friendly village teashop. I stopped there the other day, for a snack and a cup of coffee. The cheese scone was ouzing with butter, perhaps a tad to much baking powder. Not enough to stop me from stopping there again
