What an awesome early morning start for the rugby world cup. The food option package were great value for money, very tasty and even a gluten free option. The atmosphere was terrific, people dressed in their All Black Attire including the staff, who were attentive throughout. A great morning, great food, highly recommended.

I love this place, it is always on the list when visiting Christchurch. The location is great as is the food and service. The staff make sure you are well taken care of. The selection of food and drink is very nice. Well worth a visit.

We had a wonderful lunch for mums 8oth birthday. The team were AMAZING and made mums day so very special. Everyone went out of their way to provide a warm and inviting space when we couldn’t use the courtyard due to the rain! It was absolutely fantastic! Thanks everyone at No.4!

Lovely brunch and lunch food. All orders came within seconds of each other, and everyone was happy with what they ordered. It's nice to have a meal somewhere where everything is on par with expectations. A nice spot to have a chat and catch up with friends. Would definitely return.

We were very fortunate to win the Rosé long lunch and took advantage of the beautiful weather last weekend to use the voucher. The staff as always made us feel super welcome and a leaner outside had been beautifully set up. The new menu plank was so delicious ( always a fave) What a treat- thank you guys we had a blast!

It is sad to now know that I have now had my best dish ever, but it had to come one day, I guess. The risotto is the best ever, Italy marries Malaysia and it is a true love story. So absorbed in my plate, I paid scant attention to what the rest of the table was eating, but can report that everyone was very happy!! Great professional and friendly service.

For a busy place we were delighted with our service - Our server went above and beyond what we expected - Well worth the tip we offered. Food was very nice and delivery was prompt. Overall very nice, just a tad expensive for the average punter. If you have the money then it is worth it.

This place is fabulous!!! We had a casual business meeting for 16 people from 4-6pm yesterday. Amazing personal service, beautiful food platter and the perfect ambience for us. I personally loved the mulled wine, yum. We had our own corner of the courtyard with great heating - couldn't have been better!! Thanks you soooo much... can't wait to come back!!

We used the library for a family gathering. It was the perfect size for our group of 20 for a cocktail style event with sharing platters. Sam was very helpful in ordering our food in advance, and the space was nicely set up for us, so once we got there we just ordered our drinks and the food service was bang on time. The bar tender was really attentive and the door staff very polite and friendly. Highly recommend.

Sharing platter, fish tacos, and banana dessert were really good. They’re dog-friendly on the patio. Servers were nice but one seemed a bit confused about the menu and what they had on offer.

We had two tables booked outside for drinks and snacks on Saturday evening and we received the most amazing service. The staff member looking after us was amazing, he was very attentive as soon as we arrived through to when we left. He continued to check if further drinks or food were needed throughout the evening, and it was great to be able to pay for these at the table rather than having to go to the bar. We had an awesome night so thanks so much!

Very enjoy here, including food, service, views and environment. I really like the fires and beef steak, very crispy fries and yummy source! Very very friendly service who name is Nicole, and always smiling and refill your water on time, like in 5 stars hotel. I ate outside on the high table, I really like the views and the plants fence. At last, the environment is really suit for drink or catch up with friends here. I really like here, will come back!

Absolutely 10/10. First time my daughter enjoyed gluten free battered fish and chips! Our meals were absolutely flawless. I enjoyed the prawn skewers and my husband had a steak and all meals were perfect. Thank you!

We often dine at No4 and our latest experience was superb. For context, we were on the final leg of an epic Easter road trip and needed a nice, relaxed, long lunch with options for the children. Well No4 really delivered with really neat bento boxes and colouring for the wee dots and a delicious upmarket gastro-pub lunch for my wife and I. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, excellent menu, high quality guests, a really nice board room which I will ask to use in the future, indoor/outdoor options and brilliant location. We'll be in touch again, with warm regards, Ben and family.

5 Star bar. We were there on a Saturday evening and experienced a fantastic service , friendly staff and enjoyed the atmosphere. We had a great wine and an excellent dinner. The risotto and the lemon chicken were just great.

Nice place with a cosy feel and friendly serving staff. Ordered fish and chips and sirloin which were great. The sirloin was particular good and cooked just the right kind of medium rare, retaining the original flavour and juices.

Amazing fish and chips, my birthday meal and my daughter going to live in Japan wanted her last Fish and Chips and she loved it. Every time I've been the fish has been John Dory which is so nice, Wait staff so good and friendly. Free birthday meal if you join their club on the month of your birthday. Unfortunately someone had brought their dog a Rottweiler to the restaurant, even though it was in the outside part it was unrestrained and ran towards me which was a bit scary. Not sure why a restaurant would allow people to bring their pets as not everyone likes dogs and they love food so probably not the best idea to let dogs in as they run around wanting a feed. Might think twice now even though I've been 4-5 times.
