Antigua Boat Sheds - Christchurch - Photo album

Charming little cafe with window seats facing the beautiful canal. The day we visited was also the day where strong gale winds prevailed, and all outdoor activities were stopped. We settled for a carrot cake and a chai latte and they were divine. On another day with better weather, this should be on
Easy kayaking up the very shallow Avon River. Very relaxing hour spent.
Great place for kayaking ($17 to hire), the river is beautiful in all seasons. There is a friendly duck (Jimmy) that comes up to people for pets.
It’s fun to kayak and enjoy the view of the river.
We had an excellent experience today canoeing down the peaceful river Avon! Kudos to Rory from Antigua boat shed for making us laugh and sharing lots of interesting stories about the history of the building, the area and the wildlife, great costumer service and highly recommend wee activity!
A lot of activities can be done here from punting or canoeing. While enjoying the whole strecth of river with alot of ducks you can also enjoy the whole view of the city and nature at same time. With free blankets and comfy seats this will make your nostalgic ride a memorable one.
Awesome experience. Lovely on a nice spring day. Lots of nice spring gardens, flowers and baby ducks.
Rented 1 twoperson kayak for an hour and had an awesome experience paddling on the river. We got off for a bit in botanical garden to rest in the sun for a bit. A must do in Christchurch.
Really friendly service and unforgettable experience, best punting with stunning view along the botanic garden
Really enjoyed it.Very peaceful.Lovely scenery. You wouldn't know that you are in the middle of town

had a great experience here with the kayaks. such an affordable and fun activity. staff were friendly and helpful. highly recommend 😊
A different thing to do in Christchurch. Enjoy the Avon from the water.
Great for a relaxed paddle around the Avon. We booked a double kayak and was reasonable at $34 for one hour. Only giving 4 stars however, as the kayak was full of spiderwebs at the front. I didn’t want to put my feet into the spiderwebs so had to sit a bit awkwardly. Didn’t see a spider thankfully b
The Antigua Boat Sheds are probably the first place I ever had a coffee in Christchurch. You can just relax and take in the magical area or hire a kayak to explore the river. Across the river, there’s now another special spot to sit and enjoy the river - a giant mōkihi (raft) sculpture. With the reb
I had a relaxing lovely breakfast here. Nice food and service. Tranquil setting and nice clean
Short yet enjoyable. Kayak is better option than punting
