Had takeaway Sunrise Prawns, and a Basil and Chilli Prawns which comes with a steamed rice. Both dishes were nice and worth trying other dishes next time. Potions are very big, as seems to be the case in most NZ takeaway food. Thank you.

Had takeaways from here- a selection of starters, massaman chicken, and tofu red curry with roti. It was all deliciously flavored and the mains were generously portioned we will be going again soon yum thankyou Thai Po Thong!

Immaculately presented fresh food with affordable pricing. Decor is pretty basic but the service is great and drinks are so reasonably priced. Only fault would be a long waiting time for food. Good little local.

Fantastic service! Had lovely takeaways while in Chch on holiday. The peanut sauce with beef and Thai green curry with chicken were both delicious with good amounts of meat and vege. The restaurant also looked lovely to dine in. Very quick service as well.

Visiting from Auckland popped in there for dinner. Lovely clean place. Waitress was very friendly and welcoming. Ordered the chicken satay for entree chicken was cooked perfectly and satay sauce was very tasty and well presented. had the Chicken Ginger stir fry for main chicken and vegetables were cooked perfectly and the flavors was beautiful. Will defiantly come back next time I'm in Christchurch

A quick meal after a movie for 4 people.<br/>Not a warm welcome but at 8.45 not completely surprising.<br/>The restaurant was empty except for a very inebriated woman slouched at the table next to the bar.<br/>Shortly after we arrived she started playing a recording on her cell phone so loudly the even 6 tables away we had trouble talking together.<br/>A member of our group asked her to please turn it down and received a mouthful of abuse !<br/>Instead of remonstrating with the woman the "duty manager" continued to ply her with glasses of red wine !<br/>The meal itself was very nice and the service good however the evening was spoiled with this unfortunate experience.

Tonight we went to Thai Po-Thong and ordered some takeaway dishes. When we got home and opened them we discovered they were completely the wrong meals. When we phoned to let them know we were bringing them back there was no apology, we also asked them to start cooking our order so it would be ready when we got back to the restaurant. When we arrived the order still hadn’t been put through to the kitchen and the only mention of an apology was a mumbled sorry as we finally departed with our correct order. Customer service basically nonexistent.

Went on a cold Sunday evening. Very quiet which basically meant the service was prompt. Lovely, clean restaurant, with a special touch of tissues being available on each table. Now we went there primarily as it was one of our favourite restaurants in Christchurch before the quakes. Times do change and so has this restaurant. We both ordered satay chicken entrees which were fine. Actually a very nice satay sauce. Pork spare ribs were ordered as a main along with the chicken mussamun. The ribs were a bit dry and the mussamun not the best we've ever experienced. This was particularly so after a beef mussamun was brought to the table. Upon advising it was chicken that we ordered the dish was replaced in approximately two minutes with the right one. Now that's quick cooking from "scratch". Overall, like lots of "new" restaurants opening since the quakes things will never be the same!

We have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions and have always been delighted. The ambiance is pleasant, very clean with very pleasant service from the Thai staff. The prices are very reasonable and the food is just fabulous with great authentic Thai flavours. We have eaten Thai food in many countries and regularly visit Thailand and the food at this restaurant is as good as we have found. In summary, we just love this restaurant and happily drive across the city, even in rush hour, to eat there! Highly recommended for a great dining experience that we have yet to fault!

The service was friendly and efficient but we did feel a wee bit rushed with our meal. Food was flavoursome however we both felt the meals were too small. Others we have spoken to have said the same. There was no wine or beer list, so we had no idea what we were given when we ordered a sav and a beer. Overall it was a fairly nice meal but we felt it was a bit overpriced when the very small portions were taken into account.

We love this restaurant. We have recommended it to many people. Every group of friends we have taken suggest returning once they have tasted the food. The Sunrise Prawns are exquisite as a starter or main!
