Only tried here as our usual and 2 closest was closed but boy, I am glad they was!! We ordered crinkle chips, two red cod battered and a hot dog. Chips was crunchy. Battered on the fish was beautiful and the fish was fresh and flakey. Excellent food. Will make this my regular now!
They have the best chips in chch, a great range of fish and other items, and they're always quick and friendly when I order there. Prices are about average, definitely good value
They've been producing consistently good fish & chips with a good range of alternatives since forever. Hearty chips especially, not those stringy fat-soaked rubbish the multi-nationals trot out. My only problem is I ALWAYS forget to phone an order in and have to queue. But the fact that there are ALWAYS other customers ahead of me is a pretty good recommendation with so many food shoppes around these days.
Sometime smallish scoops but amazing chips and great burgers.
Read the reviews about the best blue cod in town so went and gave it a go. Wow big fat fillets cooked to perfection, Best Blue cod in town. Mussels' fat and juicy, I will be back for sure.
Our local donut joint, best freshly cooked donuts. Also the chips are pretty decent, but not as good as superstar bakery Hamilton.
Visitors to Christchurch: Beautiful fresh blue cod ( good size) hotdog , great chicken burger and crinkle chips (huge scoop) very quick and always good to sign seeing lots of locals queue for them too !
Seen the negative reviews thought would try anyway actually really enjoyed it everything was cooked well and the ladies were friendly so no dramas here
The BBQ chicken burger is fantastic, in my opinion much nicer than franchise places. Their chips are also great. Whole family loves their food, we have ordered from them many times.
Best fish ever in the metropolitan! Moved here from Auckland a year ago and can't believe I've only just discovered this. The fish is chunky and fresh, but more importantly the value for money is no question. Finally don't have to drive all the way to kaikura to get good cod! 12/10 rating 👌👌👌
Great F'n'C shop. Really friendly and very quick. Great crinkle cut chips! Good selection of good kai with a few different menu items to keep things different.
Typical fish n chip shop. Very reasonably priced. Chips and fish very good. Meat Pattie was only 10% meat if lucky.
Top of my list for hamburgers and the blue cod fillets are huge and beautifully cooked. Scoop of chips is a good size and worth going out of your way to to try this food.
Everything was well made, wonderful customer service.
Been going here years, once a week or so and always been great until now. Last 3 times have had fish and chips from here have not been good. Very oily and undercooked. Won't be back...

The only fish and chips shop where their chip's are always PERFECT! Been there probably over 100 times and never had bad chips once. Fish is decent too. However, their burger's aren't my favourite.
Since moving to Auckland I just wish I could find a joint with good chips like Main North Fish!
Beautiful blue cod, had battered and crumbed, will def be back for more when I get the fish n chips feels. A great well run traditional Kiwi fish n chip shop and the Level 3 contactless protocols in place were running like clockwork-awesome to see
Best fish and chips in Christchurch. Fish is worth the slightly higher price, legit better quality. Pro tip: you can order 'secret' off menu items if you know what to ask for.
