You Hanoi Me - Christchurch - Photo album

Simple and unassuming from the outside, comfortable, well-lit and uniquely decorated on the inside. Witty and clever names for everything, just like the name of the place. Good presentation of delicious food and very generous portions after the delicate & delicious entree when you order the Mr Gig
It’s one of our favourites in the city, true hidden gem and must try! Food is delicious and tasty, service kind and attentive, atmosphere and ambiance is welcoming, a well deserved 5 star find ! Few vegan options and all of them super yummy. Recommend trying tofu spring rolls and green vegan curry,
15-20 mins walk from Christchurch city central. We didn’t make any reservation and turn up at 5:30pm, cozy seating and good ambience. They have around 10 tables with seating from 2 to 8. Good spacing between tables Nice selection of food options, we chose pho and bahm mi. Same for drinks, wide var
What a delightful experience. After a marathon trip from San Francisco to Christchurch, we stumbled into You Hanoi Me on a whim and were bowled over. The starter of green rice fried prawns was terrific -- bright, fresh, perfectly cooked prawns with a zesty dipping sauce. We also enjoyed the monk
We were seated in the back ‘secret’ area. Much quieter then the front, atmosphere was perfect for a date night. Food was amazing and plentiful. Staff were friendly and awesome, and is just love to o back and try some more of the awesome menu
We had a really lovely time here. We had opted for the Mr. Gig's Banquet for 2. The entrees were absolutely divine and the Beef cheeks were one of the best we have ever had. The chicken salad was a bit normal (hence the 4 star) so we asked for the somtum salad. Service was excellent and the ambience
Really great restaurant! Great flavor, lots of fresh herbs, big portions for good value! I’ve ordered the Sweet Jungle Curry before and it’s so hearty and tasty. I reckon meat eaters would enjoy this restaurant more than vegetarians.
We could not fault our special dinner on Thursday night. Everything was perfect - the food, the service, ambience, all great. My daughter from Auckland was blown away with the tastiness of each dish. Have been many times and can’t wait to go again!
Do yourself a favour & eat here !!! Absolutely EVERYTHING was so flavoursome and tasty. There was nothing we could fault. My table was a group of 7 and we had the most expensive banquet option.
Loved the food here! Really accomodating with our booking and we had a limited time to dine and nothing was any trouble. And we loved the food!! Will definitely return
A Christchurch must-do. A gem of a find, so glad we came by this fabulous little place! Loved the casual yet quirky, modern and different style of this restaurant - staff are efficient and helpful, food and flavours are amazing. Constantly busy which speaks for itself. Small but delicious menu, s
We were a group of 10, five had the largest banquet menu and the other five had the next option on the banquet menu. The food was excellent and the portions extremely generous. Great service in a fun and unique environment. The maitre d was excellent as always, as were her staff. We will be back
We went there before we go to concert of The Corrs. Food worth to share. Lovely ladies who took our order and served us (sorry forgot to ask for their names). If we go back to CHC, we are definitely return and dine in here.
Awesome atmosphere and amazing food. Perfect for sharing, or, for choosing your own meals. The portions are very generous and equally delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend
Very warm welcome. We enjoyed the food and service. No complaints at all. Highly recommend. Value for money for sure
Delicious food (vegan options too!) and really attentive staff. The atmosphere is great. Definately check out Red Light District behind the restaurant (through the 'Laundry') for after dinner cocktails :)
Since returning to Christchurch from living in Fiji, and a real shortage of Vietnamese food in Fiji, You Hanoi Me has become a weekly regular. Slowly working our way through the menu, but for now its hard to get past fresh or fried Spring Rolls to start. Our favorite main so far has to be the beef s
