Bit slow to heat up since it's already prepared but filling and tasty

Best sandwich ever! They completely accommodated to my diet requirements, the bread was fresh, excellent taste! The service was so nice, and a happy latin atmosphere as always! Will go back for more!

Great sandwiches with specials in different food not price. Soup of the day always great. Can wait a while when busy. Seating shared so can be an issue when busy. Mall parking. Toilets walking distance. Have a loyalty card.

Really great food. Took quite a while to actually get it after ordering though. Probably around a 20min wait.

They make a good toasted sandwich. I picked one with halloumi. The caramelized onions and bacon were really tasty. The sandwich was that big, I saved half for later. They also make a good iced coffee (plenty of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream on top - felt it was quite extravagant!) This place made a good impression with me and I would happily recommend.

Best pulled pork sandwich I’ve ever had - great balance of flavours, lovely toasted bread and generous portion of crispy hand cut proper chunky Chippies. Will be back for sure

Great sandwiches consumed here yesterday. Breakfast Bap and Chicken Caesar - this one had a choice of bread. Absolutely delicious. Both were toasted. Couldnt find fault. The ingredients were fresh and they sang as the taste buds were sent into notes of yum. Cut in half. Wrapped neatly in grease proof paper and in a bag. Accompanied by fires with aoili and a hot chocolate. Service at the counter spot on. Placed your order. Receive a buzzer flashing light alert. Neatly presented on a tray. This is a booth in the Colombo Shopping Mall. Upmarket. Seating is scattered through the mall - find a spot and enjoy. Lunch times this place is busy and packed. Parking on site or off street. Average price of sandwiches - $10.

The name says it all. When I want an amazing hot sandwich, this is my go to, I'll happily drive across town... 😋🤤

I've eaten at the Serious Sandwich several times now and I love it. The sandwiches are really good, especially the Porchetta and the Breakfast BAP. I'm now a big fan... and I got to try a couple of their new gourmet pizza slices at their Victoria St store - best Italian pizza I've tasted in ChCh!

Sandwiches are amazing - love the BLT; so is the coleslaw that you can get as a side!! However; unfortunately there are other places that make better coffee

I was very curious how serious a sandwich could actually be and I have to admit was totally surprised at the outcome. My sister and I meet and eat out (always a Saturday) we decided to check out the Colombo, so we visited 5 food shops here during lunch rush in the Colombo to taste and took the left overs (If any) to our family to try. This one was by far the best in terms of service food variety and ambience. They were very busy and said it was a 25 minutes wait which was fine for us and It only took 15 minutes. We ordered the Poached Chicken with peanut slaw comes with mayo on plain and Porchetta Salsa Verde, which is Roast pork with parsley and garlic Salsa on a Mixed Grain, we also had the option of Organic drinks or hot drinks and we got a Ginger Ale. I'm very sceptical about meat in sandwich's as they tend to have no taste or are dry, especially being roasted - But....Serious has this problem solved! The meat in this pork was so beautiful, very succulent and held the flavour of pork beautifully amongst the salsa that gave it another level of flavour - I was very surprised. The Salsa gave such a great contrast in the sandwich and really did take it up a notch - really nicely toasted too...!The Poached Chicken was perfectly poached and the peanut slaw was just so heaven. The flavours were very serious together and I would recommend trying both depending on what meat you like or not as their are vegetarian options. In regards to the Ginger Ale I would recommend only get it if you like a bitter tasting drink....I didn't like it. ** Would highly recommend**

I was dubious at first; how good could a sandwich be? Oh. My. God. It blew my mind; I had the chicken and peanut 'slaw sandwich and it was epic. The flavour in there was just so amazing; the chicken was tender (they had poached it in something amazing) and the salad was perfect. Their fries are also pretty special. I would definitely go back.

**I went back today. The sandwich was as good as I remember, however the service was terrible. 2 staff were busy doing various things, we weren't greeted for 3 minutes even though we were the only people there. Then the person was just really disinterested and refused to make eye contact. Very disappointing.

Wonderful selection of sandwiches to cater for all tastes, even Vegetarian salad for me, can't wait to try the pizza's!
I am super impressed with the quality of ingredients and very reasonably prized.
