China Wok Restaurant - Christchurch - Photo album

We visited The China Wok straight after eating at another restaurant and walking away from there still feeling hungry. So we didn’t order as much as we would normally at a Chinese restaurant but what we did have was delicious and great value. Plenty of people dining at the same time, a great atmosph
Truly authentic chinese flavor and experience as whole, including the same disengaging and borderline rude service you’d expect from many restaurants in China, and the service is slow, but consider the customer volume at that time, I guess is kinda understandable. The food quality, however, is the n
the beef with chilli bowl dish i ordered was good in flavour but felt the beef was not soft as it should have been. i spoke to a gentleman on the phone as they didnt have the dish in their uber menu. he was excellent. was very patient and understanding and made sure i got what i ordered. really nice
The snack about the beef stick is so good
China Wok Restaurant is an absolute gem. Authentic dishes, it's cheap and cheerful and always full (when I've been there anyway). Every dish I've had has been delicious! Highly recommend.
This place serve really good Chinese food. One of their specialty is noodles. Their noodle is thick and super chewy. There are many variation of noodles you choose from. They have other great dishes as well. The portion size is huge for a great price.
This restaurant could be one of the best Chinese restaurant in Christchurch. They are really good on spicy food especially thier spicy roast fish. This time I try their new spicy and pickles chill roast fish, which is give me full of supise. Mostly the meal here would be a little be heavy on oil but
Very yummy food with reasonable price.
This place was quite a find. It's not an auspicious name but the food is great, a very hearty style that appears to be from western China eg, Szechuan style. Very tasty and big sizes for a reasonable price.
The food here is extremely authentic and probably better than some of the places in Los Angeles where Chinese food is everywhere. We ordered the spicy lamb in pot, the wok fried chicken knees, and pig ears and they were absolutely delicious! The food came out quick and the owner was super friendly.
Best braised whole fish used to be the best in town. High chair available, quick service, easy ordering, good pork hock and noodles.
Fantastic hot spicy soup which lived up to it's name! I also loved the dumplings and my egg and vege noodle. Warm atmosphere and obviously popular with the locals. Will be back.
Friendly service, large portions, tasty food!
I had braised eggplant on rice. The eggplant was so tender and delicious.
