Review The Donut Boutique - Christchurch

The owner is super friendly, and the donuts are AMAZING. While they do lots of different kinds, I prefer simpler donuts and their glazed and cinnamon sugar donuts are the best I've had in New Zealand. They are the perfect texture, perfect amount of sweetness. If you want a bunch (which you should!) it would be good to place an order the day before.

The donuts here were amazing, fresh and so delicious. Highly recommend dropping in, the service was amazing as well.

I called the Donut Boutique and placed an order for 20 of the 4 x mini donut selections for a work meeting with less than 24 hrs notice and they were so obliging and the donuts absolutely perfect. Soooo good. Everyone at work really impressed with the flavours and quality. Thank you!

Probably the best donut place here! Every donut has its own unique flavour and tastes amazing! It is obvious that each donut is individually crafted with love and passion hence why it is my favourite place to get them. Definitely would recommend:)

These aren't your typical doughnuts that are quantity made with a bit of icing spat on top ... Someone really has spent time perfecting the recipies, cooking each one PERFECTLY, icing each individual one to perfection. Some real passion and love have been put into these treats, it shows!! Bought 4 flavors of petite fours, 40 in total for an office birthday. We went with Apple Crumble, Boston bun, Lemon and the Caramel. Really, really good especially delivered fresh within the 4 Aves. Not so light and spongy after spending the afternoon in the fridge. Would definitely recommend them and will be back, thank you

Always soooo good. Never tasted such delicious and fresh donuts. I travelled to Europe, to Australia, and through New Zealand and THESE are THE best. And the ladies there are always so nice and friendly ! Now I live in Wellington but everytime I come home in Chch I go there and get my donut fix. Can only recommend this boutique ❤

Amazing donuts. I've tried about 5 different ones here now and they have all been great. The 5 mini plain sugar donuts are probably the best however the caramel ones are incredible. Hard to choose!

Delicious donuts! Today I tried the “Chef’s special” and it did not disappoint.... To the people who say the lady serving you seems pissed off about having a customer... Try saying hello, how’s your day going? before making your order... it works wonders... A little courtesy goes a long way!

I get donuts from here every single time I'm in Christchurch. They are AMAZING. Creative flavours and always fresh and tasty.

I go there once a week, if not more often ! The service is always great : the ladies there are polite, smiling, helpful ! And the products are freshly made, and super tasty ! I'm leaving for Australia for a year soon, and I'm heart-broken just imagining I won't be able to get my weekly fix haha ! I can only recommend that shop !!

So you're out with your mate Gareth (GAZZA). He's a real bloke - the kind that likes to eat steak and watch the rugby and fart in the car. You're having a nice little coffee date with Gazza because THAT'S WHAT BLOKES DO IN 2018 and Gazza says "mate, look, I did bloody good in the footy yesterday running right through those four huge guys and taking the winning try". Bloody hell, you can't believe you nearly forgot about that. What an absolute ledge. So you put down your soy flat white and you say, Gazza, mate, finish your capp-u-chini and we'll go out to celebrate. But where do you take Gazza, the one and only, your best mate, THE LEGEND, to celebrate? Not to the pub, because it's only 11am and you hate the hand driers they have in there. Why can't everyone just get those Dyson ones? You think and you think, until you remember that REAL BLOKES like to celebrate with DONUTS. Where can you get a proper donut though? This is Christchurch, after all. Then it hits you. THE DONUT BOUTIQUE. It's that cute little shop down the Edgware side of Barbados Street. They make the best donuts in town - probably the best in NZ. So you walk with Gazza over to TDB and you pick out 6 donuts. EACH. Because they're all delicious and you can't wait until next week to try them all. Gazza gives your bum a little slap -it's a bloke thing, you wouldn't understand- and says "mate, you're a legend".

I went there and had one of their peanut butter and jam doughnuts. It was lovely, although it was far too big for me to finish by myself. You definitely get value for what you pay. The lady there was really nice and welcoming. It was cool to be able to see into the kitchen.

Their store in Riccarton quietly disappeared. I recently discovered their other branch in Barbadoes St. Drove 20mins for it. Amazing donuts, worth it :)

I honestly did not enjoy my donuts here, they were both quite bland and much more oily than I am used to, it really is unfortunate that this is the only non-chain donut in chch

I'm not really a sweet tooth but this got such rave reviews from friends that I thought I'd better check it out. They're certainly on the spendy side at $4.80 for the filled range each.  Their special (today's was strawberry & cream) is dearer at $5.20 - interesting marketing?  The range is good. Great dough and tonnes of sweetness.

Treated myself a few weeks back and was very pleased. Loved being able to purchase a tray with multiple flavours in it as it's always hard to pick just one. Also very lovely service :)

Cute wee shop (i went to the one in barbadoes street) the filling one is a bit pricey but im pretty sure it worth it. Mine was maple glazed. Sooo delicious ! And the more than 10 flavours available if im not mistaken. And all the donuts look good! So tempting (especially for a donuts lover like me). The staff is friendly too
