Review Soyo Frozen Yogurt Shop - Christchurch

Went for my first time today, was blown away by the selection of goodies you can put on as toppings, the frozen yogurt selections all looked and sounded great as flavours, I got mars bar and white chocolate strawberry I think that’s what they were from memory and were pretty nice. All and all a nice treat. The prices reflect the current economic times so not going to complain about that.

We went late afternoon, the place was almost empty which i actually prefer so i can enjoy the dessert in peace, good place to enjoy dessert for people with sweet tooth

Visited this place for the first time yesterday. It’s actually pretty popular with a few people already lining up for the place to open. It’s a small walking area to be getting a SoYo and toppings so get in there first while you can. One of the toppings I got were the strawberries, just saying they’re frozen strawberries, other than that there was so many toppings options. There’s an upstair floor with tables and sits, great atmosphere, fun and gets lots of sunlight. There’s tissues up there too. However the rubbish bins upstairs were dirty and sticky at least the table we used were clean before sitting down. The place is located beside a parking lot. Not wheelchair accessible.

Came here for my first time today and the frozen yogurt was AMAZING. Not to mention I got the best customer service when I went to go pay for it. 10/10 experience, will definitely come again.

I've been to Soyo many times. Top customer service and a good place to relax with friends and family. Great range of frozen yoghurt flavours and toppings. Most importantly very hygiene conscious. Would recommend to everyone! A++

They have a couple dairy free options here which was really nice! The topping options are a nice variety too.

We have been here time ago. It offers the chance to make your own food. Yogurt or ice-cream and put the topping you want and, at the end, you pay what you have got. Nice formula. I think it is also vegan, as it is trendy being vegan recently. Overall recommend 😊

Perfect location right on the corner. And great opening hours! These guys were still serving customers at 10pm the day I went in. Gentle, respectful owners. Easy to get the ice cream I wanted. Plenty of topping choices. Clean and well lit. There's an upstairs area with plenty of tables and seating looking down onto the street. Cool! This is a great place to stop and enjoy some icecream with a friend.

They have a wide range of toppings and flavours, if you're after something sweet and have the money for it then consider this place. The ambience in the upstairs seating is also very modern and relaxing.

This was my first experience eating the famous SoYo. As my partner and I entered we were struck with abrasive scent of cleaning product’s, not the most pleasant aroma.
Moving forward we selected our flavours, I went for vanilla and mars bar and a selection of textural and colourful topping.
Very excited to get stuck in we made our way up stairs to an even more intense smell of cleaning products.
First bite of the mars bar gelato which I topped with pretzels was vile, tasted like cheap chocolate powder, then onto the vanilla which I thought would be safe but was like so acidic. Tasted like lactic acid and frozen water. Worst frozen yoghurt ever.

Wow, this is a wonderful way to carve a hole in your wallet! Charging is by the 100g and it soon adds up! They provide a great range of yogurts, toppings, sweets et al. It's fun for the kids but it is expensive!

great selection of yogurt flavour and lollies/toppings. i LOVE that soyo has the option of sugar-free frozen yogurt in 2 flavours, making a healthier alternative a great option. i do feel that the yogurt (priced by weight) is highly overpriced. nice spacious and clean environment with good seating on the second floor. average service.

Soyo's dairy free chocolate flavour is so delicious. I'm not usually a fan of chocolate ice cream as it's not chocolate-y enough but this is so richly chocolate-y without being overly sweet.
Staff are always friendly and there is a wide range of toppings available.
The up stairs searing area is great if you want to have a catch up away from the business of the Westfield food court.
As with most pay-by-weight places I think soyo can be a bit expensive for what you get and it can be easy to spend a lot more money than you think you will.

You know the saying, "don't knock it until you try it"? Well, tried it twice and still have my doubts. As the only froyo place open until 10pm in the city, I have to give SoYo some credit; however, I only cave and visit this location when my sugar levels are bottoming out and my hanger has totally taken over my personality. Otherwise, buyer beware. The flavors, those diverse in names, taste bland. Very few are sugar free or fat free and most of the time 2-3 handles are broken. When it comes to toppings, the sugary candy options are endless and the fruit is limited at best.

If you are a believer in SoYo, grab their frequent user card which gives you $5 off after every 5 purchased. As far as location and staff: very clean and very pleasant, even when you walk in the door at 9:45 pm on a Wednesday.
