I come here often and don't know why I never thought to leave a review. I love this shop. they're always so sweet and always greet me with a smile. I've only ever had one wrong order with them and when I called up they fixed it immediately and we're very apologetic. I recommend this place highly and that's a lot coming from a very picky eater

These guys do the best Donut I've ever had, they do it exactly how I like it because they listen and do my chips nice and crispy and my fish! Always pleasant towards me. I will definitely keep going back also cause I'm now addicted to their Donuts Lol Keep up the good work guys!

Just tried their battered blue cod and chips and their cinnamon donuts. Fish was huge, crisp batter beautiful white flesh and tasted great, chips were fresh and crispy not too large a portion to be off putting but plenty for 1 or 2 people to share. Donuts were light and tasty with not too much cinnamon just right. Will order from here again yum.

You’ll either love or hate the food here. If you expectation is classic style kiwi fish and chips, your in for a treat. If your expectation is a high quality fresh seafood meal, this is not the store for you.

Hoooooly I’m a fish and chip loving kiwi, I have never written a review for anything lol but after that so called dinner for 4 I just have to warn all future customers. I opened the paper and looked down at a greasy clump ball of so called chips I think I ate 3 before feeling groggy just couldn’t do it. I couldn’t convince myself to keep going, so I decided hey let’s dig into this chicken burger. A chicken burger is something that I feel like is very difficult to muck up. Somehow they done it ! The bun was soggy, lettuce was wet and yuck and the pattie was below average. Super disappointed never going back again!

I wouldn’t even give this place a one star purely because the service was appalling. Ordered two burgers, crab stick and some chips and we waited 30 mins after being advised it would only take 10. They watched us wait after we asked them if the food was ready or not, instead of answering us they chose to finish off a personal conversation they were having with a friend, then they proceeded to laugh once we asked if our order was ready or not. I’m not impressed at all with the service. Never coming back again.

Yum Yum! Our Gourmet meat burgers with tzatzki (and mushrooms for me) were delish! We felt like a change from our regular fish n chips...<br/><br/>Will definitely have burgers again-these reminded me of an old-fashioned burger like Mum used to cook-not the cardboard generic fast food stuff.

Deep-fried food is hard to get wrong, I've always thought. This place managed. Chips horrible, potato fritter unrecognisable. Tarakihi ($7!) inedible. We won't be back.

The shop was busy but the waiting area has a TV. Entry is through the front door off Hills Road or by the large carpark at the back. I had a voucher for 4 white patties and a scoop for $12 (usually $18.) <br/>The patties were thin and in an egg batter - close to being just egg. They were pleasant - the allocation of bait could've been more evenly proportioned. The chips are shop cut and were good, if a little uneven in the cooking. <br/>At full price this meal would've been only okay. The burgers and a good range of fresh fish look to be well priced and I'll be returning to try those.

My experience from Tuesday night the 10/11/15 Kids eating and running around behind the counter, the unwillingness to listen to me while trying to place an order, being told that to be quite half way throw placing my order and then leaving me waiting while she disappeared, to return to hear that something more important needed dealing with.And worse then all of the above, I asked for no salt, to return my order just to be told "oh would you like me to bush that off for you". Will not be back!!!!!!!! fish n chips, its not that hard guys!!!

1/5 Stars!!!!!!!!!!!<br/>This is, by far the worst experience I've ever had at a Fish and Chip shop. In fact, I have never made a review before, but I was so outraged that I wanted to make sure everyone knows the truth. The male owner, is a very judgemental man and takes it upon himself to push his religious views, he had some very nasty things to say about the company he gets his vegetables off, including that his church can help CONVERT one of the Gay staff members back to being straight. I am a firm believer that this is not the Christian way as God accepts every one of his children. <br/>He does not deserve the award that he so proudly displays from 2007. <br/>In comparison to other fish and chip shops, they are over priced and anyone with half a brain knows they shouldn't badmouth their customers to other customers. This is extremely unprofessional and I will not be returning.
