Very good food, the atmosphere is alright as it is in a mall but it is still fine. Good quality food fresh veggies and quality meats. Almost no queue and you get your food almost instantly. Price is slightly too expensive and if it was dropped by 1-2$ it would be perfect, still very very good nonetheless. 9/10

The regular sized potion is a great lunch size choice, plenty of salad options but the onion which i selected was undercooked. Friendly staff, plenty of options to select from meat wise, and you do get a generous amount of meat. Would recommend if visiting Northlands foodcourt.

The staff is very kind. You can eat rice and vegetables with chicken. They also have fried vegetables and fried tofu for vegeterians. (But no gluten-free) It's so delicious that I want to go again once I'm gone. If you come to the Northland food court, please try it.

Well-priced Japanese fast food place a great option for dining at the food court in northlands mall. Portions are large and well worth the price! The place operates in a similar way to Subway and Pita Pit in that you choose your vegetables, meat, and sauces as you go along. Very cool idea and great to get if you need something to fill you up :)

The staff here are amazing and the food is so good. Every time I go to Northlands I will specifically fit my diet around the inevitably of myself buying food from Katsubi. Everything's so good and not once have I ever had something from here that's dissatisfied me. My girlfriend and I will often split a special dish together and we'll feel full afterward but never the ill kind of full, never left with a aftertaste that can only be described as greasy like many other places that make similar food. 11/10, Katsubi do food right.

2nd December 2018 - This is a Japanese restaurant that is located in the new part of Northland mall food court called Langdons Quarter. This site consists of other eateries and this restaurant is located next to Amazon retail shop. Anyway, the interior layout is well set up but I recommend that you get a table before ordering the food. The place is well lit and it feels kinda cosy 😁. The menu is very straightforward with English wordings. It is not overwhelming (which is a good thing) with choices but rather nicely balanced. There are many different options to choose from. You will not regret it. Overall, it was a good experience from this restaurant. Good portion sizes. This is a non licensed (🍻🍸🍷🍾🍹🍺) eatery. There is outdoor dining area. There is onsite parking 🅿. They accept cash and EFTPOS including credit card payments (Paywave payments are not available, for those who wish to know). Would I go back? Yes 😀. Well worth a try and you will not be disappointed. Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. It was yummy 😋. Ambience: ⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. Relax and cosy. Price: ⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. Reasonable pricing compared to other Japanese eateries in Christchurch. Unfortunately there are no gluten free options so that is disappointing. What there is though is a really great range of salads and meats. So if you don't have a gluten problem definitely check then out.
