Having dinner here with family and it is a lovely area the food is excellent we all had different dinners and the food was beautifully presented. Service very good and friendly. Cost $$-$$$
One of my favorite meals in New Zealand. I came here from a local's recommendation. I ordered the risotto with prawns, it was so beautiful and scrumptious. The staff was also really kind, I believe the chef even came out once to get our order. The scenery was also lovely.
I have thought about this meal so many times since dinning there four days ago! Accurate sign it was amazing! And it really was. The BF's steak was delish accompanied with celeriac mash - yum! My fish of the day - monk fish, was outstanding. Priced on point and not a chip in sight 😊. Have recommended to many that they must go! Make sure you book to avoid disappointment 👍
We had a delightful dinner at The Old Clyde Bank. Thanks for making such delicious duck Werner...it's my absolute favourite thing!! And we had such awesome service Wendy...you guys are the best! 😊

A refreshing change to experience beautifully prepared food in a cosy relaxed environment.
Our hosts Wendy and Werner were very engaging and it was nice to share a glass of port and a chat at the end of the night.

A hidden gem in Clyde, definitely one of the must-go cafes in New Zealand.
The building used to be a bank, you wouldn’t realise it was an amazing local cafe behind the closed door. The owner kept a part of the history as decorations, like the phone, door and BNZ sign, really appreciated.
We had a pork belly bun and cottage pie as bunch. The pork belly was incredibly delicious, with the blue cheese and chutney a prefect match.
The pie was hot and rich in favour, it was absolutely a splendid choice in a cold morning.
There was a small grocery corner selling local produces, the homemade sauce and chutney were really good.
Highly recommend!
Absolutely Amazing
Everything about The Bank is incredible, this husband-and-wife team know how to perfect. The ambience is faultless, it has such a great feel. The service is six star, Wendy who is front of house goes above and beyond, and she is so genuine. The food is exceptional, Werner equals any top restaurant throughout the world. The Old Bank is definitely a place you want to go to, you will not be disappointed.
Outstanding service, meals beautifully presented & cooked to perfection.. A fabulous dining experience.. would highly reccomend!
Stopped here for lunch today, had the risotto and the steak sandwich.
Both were nicely done, the risotto was probably the best I've ever had.
Service was really good too, and being able to sit outside on what was a beautiful day topped it off. Will definitely return next time we visit Clyde.
