Absolutely stunning winery with direct views to the beach! Food was really good, one of the best pizzas we had in NZ so far. We did the wine tasting which was also great and good value for money. Friendly staff, great location - you should visit!

You have to stop here! If you don't have the time, make it! Delicious vine, amazing view AND THE BEST PIZZA I'VE EVER HAD! I guess not even Italy has pizza this good. They are probably crying to have lost such an amazing chef to NZ. The pizza had the perfect crispness but was also soft enough and the tomato sauce was perfect as well. The mozzarella di buffalo was creamy and made the pizza heavenly good. The people are so nice and the atmosphere is just cozy with amazing views. The perfect spot for having a perfect lunch. You're missing out if you don't visit this magnificent place.

The pizza was pretty good, could not complain about the food. The sour dough was hitting. Not a wine drinker, but the Lola Wine was alright.

Our family visited Mercury Estate on a holiday in New Zealand two weeks ago. We stopped there during a casual drive around the peninsula and suddenly found ourself in the most scenic, friendly and atmospheric little wine yard imaginable. We are all Europeans and therefore knew something special was going in when we bit into probably THE best pizza any of is have ever had, even those we have eaten on our trips to Italy in the past. The espressos were great! And oh boy the cake!! The wine was awesome too -of course!! And the family there simply a joy to meet. We cannot recommend this wonderful speck of the world more. If you are around the area you will indeed cheat yourself of one of those rare experiences in life unless you stop here for a meal and drink.

Wonderful experience at this winery! We arrived without a reservation expecting not to be able to be seated, especially when a large tour group arrived at the same time. But, the winemaker was on-site and took us under his wing, making sure we got a table and we were served super fast considering the large group at the same time. The wines were very good, and the food excellent. Unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy the beautiful view since it was extremely rainy but the service, ambiance, food, and wines made up for it.

Beautiful pizza and salad with an amazing view. The tasting flight was 4 wines for $20 but each was around 60ml. We enjoyed everything. The place is a little small so book ahead and enjoy

Wow!!! What an amazing winery and restaurant! The pizza is out of this world (especially the Parma e Rucola pizza, which is fantastic!) and the tasting flight of 4 house selection wines is a perfect complement to the meal. Beautiful views of Mercury Bay and super friendly and attentive owners made for a wonderful afternoon!

We went to Mercury Bay Estate today with family, who went there on their honeymoon and brought us back because they loved it so much. The food, wines, cocktails, were amazing, truly delicious. Coming from a hospo background in both wine and wood fired pizzas, 10/10. Crispy, came out so fast with fresh toppings and good amount of toppings! Stand out was the buratta and limoncello spritz and Chardonnay. Staff were friendly and perfectly attentive too!

Great serve on the wine tasting, great food, with a good view even on a overcast & windy day. We had a share platter between two of us an it was fresh an delicious! With a anchovy pizza with a rocket salad to follow! Yum. All served with a smile

We first came to MBW two years ago on our honeymoon. Epic! We now live and work in the Coromandel and are stoked to have this place less than an hour away. We went again yesterday, and again, absolutely blown away! Wines punch well above their weight, pizzas better than any I have ever had in NZ (and Italy as well)… Simply put, a MUST visit! Would recommend staying the night locally, so you can experience the full wine list, and all the delicious food options that the MBW has to offer. Do it.
