Review Armando's Kitchen - Cromwell

Yummy and quaint little place at Cromwell! We enjoyed our food, the cinnamon bun is crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Staff are also very friendly, and the place is nice and cosy as we’re hiding from the rain. Recommended!

We found Pinot Junction open past 4 pm on 27 Dec 2022, after 2 failed attempts to find a cafe which was open. What a delightful place this turned out to be! Excellent indoor and outdoor seating and decor, exceptional views, friendly service and decent food & drinks. I would highly recommend taking a detour from the highways to take a break here.

The chef is doing some great work here. The most delicious breakfast I've tried so far on my trip. Not only breakfast but the atmosphere and views are spectacular. We are so lucky to travel when there no crowds and enjoy such places ourselves.

This place was so good, such a nice surprise. A cool little place to slow down with a wine and watch the lake. We had the tasting platter which was top notch, and little details that made it a cut above anything else; eg garlic cloves in the olives, a really nice dressing on the salad.

Fantastic Italian cuisine! The special risotto and the lasagne were perfect, and a nice garlic bread pizza before didn’t hurt. If you’re driving through the area make sure to stop here. The town is also very lovely and quiet and sets the mood for a relaxing, casual lunch.

This is the prettiest cafe in Cromwell. It has incredible views over the lake and a gorgeous design style inside. The staff are wonderful and lead by the lovely owner, Kate. The food is delicious, especially the cheese scones.

Gem of Cromwell old precinct! Really satisfied with the brunch offerings and the food taste amazing! Coffee was also superb and service was friendly and really quick too! We made the right decision stopping by Cromwell as not only we get to enjoy this wonderful brunch but also the small quiet town that has so much character!

Love this place. Popped in right and the end of the day. Kate and Jed were so warm and friendly, the wine was the best I’ve had in New Zealand, it was a Pinot noir. Can’t wait to go back for Fridays pizza night. I’m a vegan so it was great to see vegan options on the pizza menu.

The best cinnamon rolls you will ever eat.. soft and pillowy on the inside, with perfect crispy outsides. We LOVE Pinot Junction, always incredible service, in the most stunning spot in Old Cromwell. A must do!
