Review Shiraz Indian And European Restaurant Bar Dargaville - Dargaville

Took at least 40min to get served, take out deliveries and phone orders seamed to be more of a priority. The food was great when it finally arrived. The ladies serving did a great job, our drinks were delivered promptly.

Highly recommended. Lovely quiet dining experience, Awesome food and great service. It might be in a small town but its as good as the big centres. It was the best butter chicken I've ever eaten. The pizza was great too, of course. I asked for extra hot and it was the flavor I really wanted. I'm going back to Auckland tomorrow. I think I will miss that taste. I want to take the chef to Auckland.

The food was good and the service was lovely! I was craving a pub feed so I ended up getting a steak and it was good! Cooked just how I like it with some rosemary on top too. The chips and gravy were yum and I would recommend getting the sirloin. I also ordered the chilli prawns to share with my partner and at an entree size the portion was decent. The prawns were amazing and I liked how the tails were crunchy enough to eat. The desserts were simple but nice and it was a good experience trying kolfi for the first time. Overall Iā€™d recommend you go here!

This place was so fantastic and wonderful service that I would drive my family out to Dargaville fro. Whangarei to have the option of such amazing well dressed and seasoned menu. My self, friend, and 2 teenages ate with left overs for under $90 bucks for a wide rand of meals and drinks. I don't normally rate or review so high but could fault this beautiful place, it could be a fun day out to take a drive and have a clean well earn Kai at this place.

I had dinner with my brother and sister in law. We started with the chicken pakora and mixed platter. The platter came on a sizzle plate, which crisped up the cabbage nicely. Each piece was really good, but the chicken pakora was even better - very tender in a light batter. Fine for those afraid of spice, like my sister in law. My main was lamb methi, medium spice. Never had this before. The menu says it has tomato, onion, unspecified spices and fenugreek. The lamb was in quite small chunks and tender, spice level was quite decent. Family was happy with their chicken korma and chicken shan-e-punjab. The place was empty, which impacted on ambience, but the young waitress was lovely and efficient.

We went for dinner here at local Indian restaurant tonight. Would have to say it was fantastic . Great to go out for dinner greeted and served by lovely staff, then to be served with absolutely delicious food. Thanks for a great night and certainly will be back.

We come here for dinner and we were made to feel very welcome by the staff. Great vegetarian food on there menu. The food was delicious and we even had a dessert. We loved the music while eatting and great meals deals. I highly recommend eatting here if your in Dargaville.

I have just eaten here for the third time and I have to say that the food here is top notch. It is pretty challenging to find decent Indian food in NZ but these guys have got it right. We enquired which of the dishes on the menu were vegan and the chef came out to chat with us twice and advise us on vegan options. We will definitely be back, thanks guys. Mmmmm ..... I really feel I should update this review as we recently revisited Shiraz and were very disappointed (August 2023). I suspect that they may have changed ownership as they have started charging for poppadoms which were previously free. Come on guys, poppadoms are so cheap and they were a welcome nibble before the food. The food certainly wasn't up to the same standard and really wasn't how I described in my previous review. We ate there on a Saturday night, the place would normally be buzzing with a constant stream of takeaway orders being dished out. However, this Saturday, the restaurant was almost deserted with hardly any takeaway pick ups. Not sure what has happened here but we won't be back again.

Awesome feed, super polite staff, could do with a better range of beers and low carb beers. But still worth a visit!

Always nice friendly and helpful..one of the only decent places to eat in Dargaville

Love the food at Shiraz. Currys are great but you can also choose from a great range of pizzas and steak meals. My friend and I lunch there once a week as a pizza treat. Service is great.

Amazingly tasty food - such a diamond in Dargaville! We had takeaways from Shiraz on two nights during our five-night stay, and they were tasty and generously portioned both times. Would be a lovely place to dine in also as the interior decor and ambience are welcoming and relaxing. One of us had a medium hot prawn masala both times, which was excellent. The other had a chicken korma - delicious, and a chicken tikka main - spectacular! The peshwari naan was lovely as well.

Really nice friendly staff. Good curry and they made us a request that wasn't on the menu. It's not the best curry we have had but was nice.
