It was one of the best burgers I have had in NZ! Delicious! Big portion for a reasonable price. Definitely go back there😋 Highly recommended!

Food, atmosphere and staff were so good !

Delicious brunch and coffee! I always enjoy the scrambled eggs and Freedom loaf for a satisfying yet light breakfast. The Big Daddy is a generous serve at a very reasonable price. Attentive owners, always welcoming. A great local cafe!

Lovely little cafe, nice atmosphere, I only had a sausage roll (which was excellent along with the relish and salad it came with) & a flat white. Great just to sit and read the newspapers provided; happy!

The best! We ordered the pancake here and man, was that a pancake. It was almost a cake! Super full, fluffy, soft and delicious. The service was amazing, we had to wait a little bit for our giant pancake (20-30mins) but the staff very kindly offered us a free coffee. The atmosphere at Twisted Tomato is very homely, a kiwi backyard garden party vibe. Every time I go to Devonport I now make sure to visit here as well as recommend it to my friends. Great food, great service, great atmosphere.

Cutlery not cleaned properly and really long waiting time for food to be served. Poor customer service. Definitely one off visit.

Have been here before and had the pork belly salad! The flavours were tasty but the salad was a little simple and small. Decided to go here for breakfast and I left extremely disappointed!!!! Can’t recommend enough not to go here!!! The girl took our orders and completely got them wrong, so 2 of us ate the meals and our friend had to wait, the waitress came over and apologised and said would you like anything while you wait for the meal because it might be a while before you get it and offered another coffee and we waited another half an hour!! We had finished our meals and no sign of our friends meal! We asked how long it would be and the girl replied “oh did you want the breakfast still? You didn’t specify” beyond a joke! How would she not want the breakfast????!!!!!! I didn’t want to pay a dime but because I had a zomato gold it made it cheap anyway! Never returning! The waitress made no enough to fix things other than give us the free coffee

Bad service, I asked if we could sit in a certain spot they said yes. We set our selves up- no menus given, nothing told to us about ordering at counter... so I assumed it must be- had to go get menu then when we went to order were told we couldn’t get the mince on toast with our Zomato gold as it’s not on the menu. BUT how did we choose it if it’s not on your menu?! Made no sense as we would have actually saved them money giving us a cheap meal ($12) rather than order a $20 and get that free instead. And it was very rude, someone not serving me talking over that girl to say loudly in front of everyone you can’t use you Zomato gold, it doesn’t work in our system. Which is a lie, since she didn’t even have to take any code for it to work, she just had to see I was a member and had activated it. I don’t accept bad service so we left.

Great service and absolutely loved the eggs bene here - it was one of the best I’ve had. The beetroot purée and chicken karaage were delicious and great addition to the dish. I will definitely go back!

I loved the food quality and quantity but what made me disappointed they are not accepting zomato 1+1 on food on public holiday. It would be better if they indicate it on their listing in zomato so that no one else get decieved, becsuse their rates are also higher than nearby restaurants.

Amongst, all the places we stumbled on Twisted Tomato, the smell of lamb koftes cooking the kitchen filled the air and lured us in. We sat outside by the back yard under the shade but still feeling the warm afternoon sun rays. Getting the fish burger and chips from the $15 menu, the fish is deep fried in a crunchy batter, stuffed with fresh crunchy lettuce, a slice of tomato finished with a squirt of aioli, it comes with a side of rustic fries. It was blooming great, I can tell the fish is very fresh, the rustic fries had a lovely paprika seasoning.

Not long after they opened in devonport we decided to try it out.Arrived at their opening time of 8am, 2 others waiting for coffee and staff hadnt opened the doors as they were still setting up. We finally got in 15 mins later and went to sit down on the deck which unfortunately had the lingering smell of the unknown happenings in the neighbors carpark corner moved inside and ordered the eggs bene and pancake.<br/>Eggs bene was average.potato cakes were soggy and just not tasty. Eggs were cooked perfectly but the red sauce was not my thing. The pancake my gosh was super yum! All the little bits it had with it made the dish! Coffee was great! Id give a 3.5 if i could. Eggs bene and waiting really let me down. Will come back to try again though.

Very accommodating to dietary needs. Welcoming and friends manager. Food and customer service was good. Highly recommend for a lazy Sunday afternoon

Got the special of the day which was any burger and chips for $15. I got the chicken burger and it tasted average, nothing special. The chips however were amazing. It was seasoned with some spices (reminds me of Nandos peri peri chips). Loved it!<br/><br/>Got a cookie and cream milkshake. It was a little pricey for the amount they gave but it tasted so good. They had a little decorative flower on top of the milkshake which was cute and Insta worth. I would definitely come back again for the milkshake. <br/><br/>The service was remarkable quick and amazing. I got my food within 5mins but my partner had to wait another 5min for his food to arrive. The staff was nice and polite. <br/>
