Our local favourite place in Devonport. The best French toast and ice coffees in town, and the staff are always super happy and welcoming! Much better food than all the pretentious overpriced cafes in the rest of Devonport.

I eat out a Lot For work and I didn't actually expect something spectacular with mince on toast.. Like a piece of art .. It was so beautifully presented I had to share it and it tasted so so delicious.. The spices they used were so full of flavor. .. I am so glad I picked the Sierra over the other cafe's.. Do try this.. I also had a chi and that was very tasty too so once again thank you for making my lunch experience a beautiful one to remember.. The music they play is easy on the ear and it had a really cosy feeling too.. Well done with the friendly staff it's a rare find

Ordered just a New York cream cheesecake and a pot of green tea. I would say price is great for the presentation of both. I asked for refill of hot water for the tea and waitress gladly refilled it and even gave extra jug of hot water by the side. I must say “very generous and thoughtful”. Would come here at least once a week if I stay in AKL...

Quaint and lovely Cafe! Fast, friendly service and the carrot cake was simply to die for. Loved the french inspired vibe and cosy ambience. Will visit again!

Loved this place! Came for mother's day lunch, got two club sandwiches and mince on toast and the meals were excellent, pretty quick and relatively cheap! The chicken on one club was slightly undercooked and they gladly redid the whole thing and then refused to take payment for a second coffee. Brilliant service!

I had a delicious and fresh blueberry muffin (with extra butter!) and a very good decaf cappuccino. The staff were friendly and the food and drinks for myself and my friend were served promptly. Highly recommend.

Chain coffee house that's doing well on the Devonport strip, probably down to the sheer enthusiasm of the staff. The stand out is the tea service, which is more elaborate than most... Certainly a step up from the tea bag in a mug experience! Fun decor, reasonable prices, fair enough!

I had the french toast today (2/1/23) and by golly, the mixture of flavors took my palette on a sweet journey, each element stood out in its own way. Even though the slices of red and green apples, strawberries and bananas, the scoop of vanilla ice cream, berry compote and smoked maple syrup were sweet elements, each added its own unique sweetness to the dish which had me excited to try different combos with the things. I’d say more but my wife is telling me to hurry up and go help with the kids. Just try it! You won’t regret it! Best french toast I’ve ever had, compliments to the chef and the team. And the staff are super friendly! 10 stars if I could!

This is the only legit review you'll need. I'm a regular customer and for many reasons. - The overall atmosphere is breath-taking and lovely. The staff are always willing to help and the cafe is absolutely beautiful. Not only are the staff kind and helpful but they're also so interactive and polite towards everyone. - Food and drinks wise - it is always prepared always for the best standards. Not once have I got a meal where it was "mediocre"-ly done vice versa. The staff always try their very best to make sure to match to the customer! Everything about the cafe is nothing but perfection - it's not easy seeing this; it's like finding a 10cent coin within the sands of a beach. Impossible!

We stopped for a bite to eat. We had a cheese scone and a coffee and mocha. No complaints. The staff member was friendly. The price was good. Comparable.

the cafe isnt big space wise but the food was good. we tried Sierra spcl breakfast and grilled chicken sandwich....both were nice, filling and served fast. overall i am happy with the service and food.

Although, I find this Cafe slightly overpriced, I had a really nice time here because the weather was great and they serve decent coffee. Their blueberry muffin was really fresh and appetising. If you're not sure about what to order, you definitely won't be disappointed with their sandwiches.

We ordered Seafood Chowder and Chicken and Leek Pie, Chowder had more potato than anything and wasn't too pleasant and we would have preferred to have waited for the pie to go through the oven as opposed to the microwave which made the crispness of the pie become soggy, luckily the young guy behind the counter was cheerful

This morning i had a breakfast and coffee at sierra cafe in Devonport. It was very nice and and tasty. Staff at the counter was nice and friendly. I recommend creamy mushroom good size and well presented!!

Very good coffee and friendly and helpful staff. Cooked meals are normally excellent and well presented. I have breakfast here most days and especially like the eggs benedict, which comes with a small fresh side salad. Blackboard specials are great value.

One of the quieter cafés in Devonport which seems to be in terminal decline. Coffee is fine but the food range is limited and on a recent visit the bread was slightly stale.  The staff are pleasant enough but given the plethora of options in Devonport they need to raise the food quality.

On a recent trip to Devonport we enjoyed a lunch at this cafe after having had it recommended by a local who had a business there for over 5 years. We were not disappointed. The service was warm and friendly, the food was great and the coffee and desert were the best. The brioche French toast with blueberry compote was mouth watering and the house made caramel slice was incredible and the double shot restritto was rich and sweet. We found the whole experience very enjoyable. Good price, too! Highly recommended!!!

Nothing to rave about, probably the best thing was the coffee, which tasted good, but was only served warm, not hot which was disappointing. The cafe was dirty and just generally felt very run down. The staff were friendly and helpful enough, and the service was good. The food was nothing flash, they forgot the bacon for the pancakes (but didn't forget to charge for it...).

It's a bit shabby/dirty, loos are not nice. 'Forgot' one of our meals. Food not good. Avoid
