Review The Corner Store - Dunedin

went here for breakfast and had the rice pudding and whitakers hot chocolate, hands down the best hot chocolate i’ve ever had and the breakfast was so delicious and wholesome. The atmosphere of the cafe was peaceful despite it being full, service was friendly and quick. Best cafe ever

Travelling in New Zealand. Reached Dunedin from Te Anau, Milford Sound. The Corner Store has cosy cafe vibes though in city centre, so gave it a try. We enjoyed the food (soup, main course), had pumpkin soup with chilli, lemongrass and potato rosti beef brisket pickled cabbage poached egg. Ended with two types of dessert. Enjoyed all our orders Calvin (from Singapore)

Great coffee and nice breakfast. Big breakfast is a must try. Carrot cake was delicious and pepperoni cheese scone was awesome.

Quaint cafe in a lovely old building with beautful wooden floors, glass frontage and modern wooden furniture. There weren't a lot of spare tables so we shared a bench table with 2 other people, which was fine. The staff seemed friendly-enough. Service was ok. I had the brioche french toast, which was very yummy but was a little disappointed with the 2 small pieces of brioche. I was expecting the portion size to be a bit bigger. The banana caramel sauce was yum. Coffee was good too. My friend had the eggs benedict with bacon, which she enjoyed.

Absolutely delicious. Many gluten free options, I went with the grain salad that the barista recommended and it was absolutely delicious. Coffee is from a local roaster. It would for sure be a regular spot if I lived close!

Really nice. This is a super cool casual spot for coffee and or food. The have a ruatic vibe and the tunes are quite loud BUT in this environment, it fits. It works well with the staff "head down really busy" attitude. They're lovely and attentive in all the right ways without a fizzy "hello how's your day which just feels right. I was here a few times. Coffee always good, plenty of seating options including sharing so it doesn't get packed with single people on tables of 4. The big breakfast was really good. Fully conpliment of the usual favorites; bacon, eggs, mushrooms, hashbrown but presented with some great flavour and a little Chilli kick somewhere... Highly recommend a visit.

We had coffee and dessert during a small pause while visiting Dunedin. Cappuccino was good, muffin and carrot cake were alright. Cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Friendly people. Many options also for breakfast that were looking delicious - we did not try though.

Came in for breakfast with my girlfriend and wow, was blown away. The smoothies were top-notch, breakfast burger was out of this world, and even the classic bacon and eggs was some of the best, if not the best I've ever had (Super crispy bacon, flavoursome eggs). Stop by and try it for yourself!!

I was there for breakfast with a friend. We had Avocado & Tomato on seed toast and the Haloumi & Beetroot to eat - as well as Berry & Banana Smoothies. All delicious. The flat white was great - one of the nicest I had in town. The staff was very friendly and helpful - definitely worth going. Cool and stylish location.

Nice, little coffee shop. My americano was great, egg benedict with smoked salmon was delicious. Most importantly, staff is friendly and smiley 😊 A bit noisy with load music and coffee grounder but part if the package.

So great to have diverse vegan and vegetarian options. Food is very good and the coffee is excellent. Great vibe to this place.

Fantastic food, cute setting. It’s clear there was care in our meals and coffee and we loved it.

Came here on two separate occasions and both were fantastic. The fig granola was super tasty and filling. But the falafel grain salad was truly FIRE. Possibly one of the best salads I’ve ever had. They don’t shirk on the pricey ingredients when they list them out and the service was overall great.

Excellent coffee, service and food. Lots of empty plates! Really laid back atmosphere. New favourite in Dunedin

I am in love with their nut and seed bread!!!! They need to sell these by the loaf. I had the nut and seed toast with hummus, pesto, mushrooms, and added spinach to the top. It was delicious and a perfect size that filled you up but didn't make you feel over full or weighted down.
