One of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to ever
The food was great. The service was excellent.
Sweet and sour pork was just the best of all.
I wish we had at least something similar in Adelaide.
Arrived 30th July no booking and promptly seated. Clean and warm. Ordered entree, mains and drinks. Entree arrived FAST and hot. Mains arrived in shortly after starter was cleared. Hot, tasty and very, very filling! Value for money -$45 -and left with a doggy bag of the leftovers.
Highly recommend!

My sister & I always get deliverys from here & we always love it! Best chinese place we've been to in Dunedin. Great value for money with the meals being a very good size, always really lovely staff over the phone, great customer service & the food is always delicious! Cant rave enough about it =)

Visiting Dunedin from outside Melbourne in March 2012. Chanced on China Palace for dinner. Good menu. Great prices. The $20 Buffet was excellent value. Enjoyed the meal a lot. Highly recommended.
Takeaway fish 'n' chips - Very clean efficient premises, food quality fine, but main surprise was the reasonable prices ($1.20 minimum for chips is minuscule these days!). I see they also offer "small" Chinese meals like chicken fried rice for just $5 (or $4 at lunchtime, I think), 2-filling toasted sandwiches mainly $2.90, and small budget fizz bottles $1. Great. :-)
Have been here several times. This is our place to get sat night fish and chips. Restaurant is by far the best Ive been to. Always go for the 20$ buffet. You get soup, entree, rice and 2 dishes for 2 people, add an extra dish for each extra person up to 8 dishes so 3 people = the soup, entree and rice plus 3 dishes. 8 people = the above plus 8 dishes. If you have around 12 people you will get x2 lots. Value for money, tasty dishes, very filling, plenty of food, great service. Lovely staff. Highly recommended

Came in with the family just looking for something to eat. Ended up getting one of the $28per person set menus. Great food, great service. Even just the cheep option was more than enough to feed us. The chicken and corn soup was delicious. Definitely would come back while in Dunedin again.
The new renovation looks great, and they upgraded their menu with more options.
I love the West lake chowder soup and the stewed crab roe and tofu, rich flavors and definitely value of money.

This was a delightful surprise, a tight, friendly, clean and well run ship. Went with the banquet at the top of the menu's first page, second option. 9 generous dishes, served with a smile, chef made the time to personally deliver the crispy chicken to our table. Loved the experience and very keen to return.

We got 4 kids and 4 adults for lunch, yummy food with cheap price. Love the sweet tofu and crispy bird nest, sizzling seafood serve hot and all the food are delicious! Recommend for family or even couples.
Great food, great service but the main st of south d not much atmosphere looking out at the street
The food was fantastic and the staff are lovely. The restaurant has recently been refurbished, so it's looking good.
China Palace is my go to place for both Fish and Chips and dining in at the Restaurant. Their battered onion sausage is really nice. My husband loves the meat patties and I the fish. We have the above most often but enjoy mixing it up from the menu for a change. Also buy bluff oysters when they are in season. When we eat in we get a banquet, I love that we know what its going to cost especially if we are paying for multiple people. The food is very tasty and is good value.
