I thought it important to share again - this insanely unassuming Japanese delight in Dunedin is low on pretence and high on flavour and value. Still staggers me that I’m a Friday night it is basically empty. No online ordering and you will have to refer to the pictures if you want to ring ahead. Lovely, lovely people and delicious food. Teriyaki salmon is delicious and very generous.

Ordered Teriyaki Chicken Don with Vegetable. Not the best authentic Japanese food (feel more like Chinese food) but it is still tasty, generous portion for its price. Will still return and recommend!

I've been coming here for many years for my post gym lunch. Very friendly staff. Their rice balls have always been the biggest draw card for me, being rather cheap yet very large. Before I went vegetarian I really enjoyed their crunchy chicken rice balls with their Japanese mayo inside, and now I get the vegetarian version of the same thing. The mayo really does it for me, and they also make the rice balls on request for takeaway.

Best sushi in Dunedin hands down! The rice is full and chewy. There is no cutting corners and only uses the freshest ingredients. Apart from the authentic classics there are also unique flavors like tuna steak and tofu rolls 😋 👌 Bonus is the incredible owners Summer and Tommy who always brings a smile to my face ❤
