Love it!!! Amazing food nice ambiance and wonderful music while you are having your dinner. First time ti visit here and tried the Pork ribs! Must have i telk you so yummy and the price of their food are very reasonable.
Main meals were great, delicious, large portion sizes, quick service. We did dine in on a quiet night. Areas for improvement would be the service. For example we made a booking and the table didn't have any menus on it when we arrived so we had to get them ourselves. Overall would recommend it.
Amazing food. If you have an appetite then this is the place for you. Big portions, if you have kids that love their burgers, I'd suggest you go for the smaller (single pattie) ones as they are more than enough for them. Need to save room for the waffles!!! And the steak....nearly the size of my hea
Amazing food and beverages. Very friendly staff, I would highly recommend to anyone!
Great venue. Staff are friendly and good range of drinks available. Didn't eat here so can't comment on the food but it smelled great! Could do with a bit of acoustic treatment for gigs as it got a bit trebley bouncing off the brick walls!
Food, beverages and service were on point. Easily some of the best ribs I've ever eaten that weren't home made. Fried chicken, loaded fries... Man it was all good. Look forward to seeing a gig here.
Cool to see these guys supporting local bands, really impressed!
Went and got the all you can eat ribs (Wednesday's only). Did not disappoint, was absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere, staff were super polite.
Consistently among the best service I’ve ever found in a NZ restaurant. Waitstaff knock it out of the park every time. Food is a solid, satisfying take on “American” cuisine for a good price. It’s all very good, although if you’re snobby about what constitutes a “true” poutine or “mama’s” chicken a
Really good food. Our meals took a little while to come out but the place was full and had only been open a couple of days. Will definitely be going back
OK place, nothing stand-out good or bad. There aren't a lot of mains so I've tried most. Chicken/Waffles: Smaller serving size but nice enough, probably not worth the $20 imo, two lone single onion rings too?... Gorilla Steak: Huge portion, definitely worth getting chips and extra sauces if possible
Exemplary food and service, worthy of praise. Whether it's an intimidating burger or mouth watering ribs, 50 Gorillas have you covered. Also, the only place in town that understands how to make fried chicken and waffles. Highly recommend.
Sweet $20 ribs, wish there where more types of bbq sauce. Fran (waitress) took good care of us 4/5. Worth it.
Everything was going good till we were told to leave as they only allow you to be at a table for an hour and a half. Considering it takes a while for the food to come, we didn't get a chance to have desert. Just need to add an extra 30mins to that rule.
Great food, very fast service now everything has settled since opening, little bit loud but to be expected, great place for a good dinner and a beer, probably not first choice for a romantic dinner however :)
Outstanding, excellent service, great Burgers, and Ribs."the real meat" in the burger was great..very enjoyable .going back to enjoy the live music next time.
