Never heard or known about it.. just happened to pass by at lunch time so we decided to stop instead of continuing to the next town… had the chicken salad, bacon & egg & catch of the day and all three were absolutely delicious!! Note that portion is on the bigger side. The staff were all lovely too 💕

So much has changed with the new owner...we had a lovely lunch snack returning from Mt Cook to Christchurch and stopped here to refresh 700 kms later...all the best

Very nice meals ,would go again. Chicken Parmigiana was the nicest my daughter had. Pan fried blue cod on potato gratin, very delicious but could have done with 1 more piece of cod for the price we paid for that dish and deluxe burger was very tasty so my husband said.. Atmosphere was good.

I have been here a few times with a group of friends, very relaxed country bar, restaurant , generous size portions of food and delicious, staff are great some with great sense of humor..

Thoroughly enjoyed the meal, great presentation and food was fresh and tasty. The cheesecake for dessert was superb. Will definitely be going back.

When old school meets new school. Classic spot on your way to Ashburton. No news paper to catch up. But you can watch a decent pool game :)

Drive past this place all the time. Never stopped until today and so glad we did. Awesome, friendly and helpful staff. Amazing food! Good playground out the back to entertain the kids while you relax in their outdoor area. Will be back for sure. Thank you.

I dropped in for a quick lunch. Food was great and didn't take long. would definitely stop here again.

Fishing club had our xmas dinner here, not one complaint. Food was well priced and excepional portion sizes, such that several did not get finished. Desserts looked awesome for those that had them but u fottunately I could not fit it in. Service excellent too, regularly checking in on us.

We came here on Thursday evening for dinner. We started with Focaccia bread, we ordered 3 Burgers ( 2 Lamb, 1 Beef) 1 Chicken Schnitzel. Food and Service was lovely, will be back again in the future.
