Stopped in for a drink and a meal. Had the open steak sandwich, it was divine (and hige portion size!). Fantastic service and environment there, i will definitely come again.

This is a must hotel to book into on Alps to Ocean great locals! inside doesn’t match the outside as it’s being renovated inside and is absolutely gorgeous my whole family of 8 stayed here and all our rooms where amazing, comfy firm beds, the food was yummo but alas they won’t have the same chef so I hope they replace the lovely Kelly with an equal! Kelly was unfortunately leaving but a big shout out to her what an amazing host she was she did it all check in,bar, cooking and chats with the locals and of course us she was a legend and an absolute star ❤️Duntroon hotel is a lovely slice of rural NZ don’t miss this wee gem on your travels kia kaha 🌻🌻🌻❤️❤️

Great accommodation, food and service. A lovely stop on the Alps to Ocean cycle trail for our group. We were very well looked after with great meals and cheeky banter.

After our last meal here a few years ago we weren't expecting much but the food was well executed and generous in portion size. The bar staff were fabulous and the cook went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and looked after. I had a rare steak that was perfect and my partner had the buttermilk chicken burger that was delicious. A great meal! Well done Duntroon Pub.

Great wee pub, good tap beers, awesome food and very dog friendly. Welcomed with a smile left with a handshake to go with the smile, will definitely be back

What an awesome Hotel!! Went for dinner and we’re treated to an awesome experience from the moment we walked in. Kelly our waitress was on fire and we were treated to exceptional food and service. Definitely book a meal there again

I was there last night, 14/10/22 with my two young boys. We were camping locally at the domain so I don't know what their rooms are like. First off. The young barman was such a nice guy. Greeted you with a smile the moment you walked through the door. The wine is around $8 a glass and we had 1 kids meal and two adult meals and they were good and well priced. I'm pretty easy when it comes to what I expect but, this was a great little place and I can absolutely recommend it.

The staff were really lovely. We went as part of a large extended family get together of around 30 which they said was very busy for them but they still gave excellent friendly service. We also had dinner there, the steak was amazing. The kids got to play pool and found some new stuffed toys for their collection. We came back the next day on the way back through. It's a really nice place to stop for a drink some great food and ice creams for the kids.

Loved our brief stay whilst enroute to Oamaru on the A2O. Kelly and Fiona were awesome hosts, great dinner and beer on tap to hydrate! Thanks for having us!
