I ordered food from here for a birthday party, chicken & prawn biriyani, kadhai paneer, butter chicken and three different types of naan breads and a salad. Everything was absolutely delicious. When I went to order owner was kind enough to let me try some of their biriyani to check the spice level. Amazing customer service, I was even given a free Mango Kulfi on the house which was scrumptious! Overall my experience was absolutely awesome. Highly recommended!

Delicious food, lots of vegetarian options and seriously incredible naans. We've been served by a very helpful young man and the cook. Both were very kind and generous and even offered desert. I will definitely come back to Kathmandu Kitchen!

Second time ordering here. The first time was good but I mixed my food and couldn’t really remember the experience. I ordered again lastnight and I was so happy with our meals! There’s not alot of places I trust with butter chicken but this one was perfect. The flavours, the portion and the service was amazing! Bought 3 meals and 3 naan and there’s leftovers for lunch today! Thank you 😊

We love getting our takeaways from Kathmandu. It's our go-to for a quality curry takeaway and love showing off some of the top spots in Glen Eden when we've got friends round on a Friday night. Highly recommend both for their friendly team and delicious curries.

It look small from the outside but once you get inside it is spacious and clean. They do have online order, easy transaction and pay upon pick up of order. First to order Chicken Biryani at Kathmandu chicken and it was good. No need for me to go further just to buy the same thing. I dont have to wait for my order it will send you email when to pick up your order. Owner was nice and accomodating. We also butter chicken, it was also nice. They added some crisp chips, love it! Will definitely order again. 🙌👌🌱 There is available parking on Glen Eden Mall and it is just 1 -2mins walk to the resto.

Ordered delivery tonight, not only they are 3HRS late they also got our order wrong. Rang at 6pm to place our order, they accepted it and said ETA 30min. At 7pm we rang back as nothing shows up, we asked them if they are busy we are happy to pick up, but they said no they will deliver in 15min and throw us some free naan. At 8pm nothing, so we rang and received same answer, 15min will be delivered, we offered to pick up they said no again. At this stage we have rang them every 20min. We finally received our food at 9pm after few phone calls, they expect us to pay for the naan eventhough they told us it will be free before. And one of our order is wrong, we ordered beef korma but received veggie korma... To top it all, food arrived cold, so cold.....

We went here for lunch on Father's day and we were the only people in the restaurant but lots of people walked in and ordered takeaway.  We knew this restaurant had to be good with how many people walked in and out with orders.  The restaurant did not disappoint, there was 8 of us in the family and we ordered heaps of food and all the curries came out at the same time, all really tasty!! we polished all of the curries and we got plenty of naan and rice to soak up all the curry goodness! the wait staff was friendly and attentive.  The food was just as good as the service and I would highly recommend this place to anyone! thank you so much for a great experience and making our father's day celebration that much more special!  the only criticism would be that the beers could have been a bit colder, but other than that, everything else was ON POINT!

We have returned a number of times to Gorkha Kitchen. Great food and welcoming staff. Chicken Jafrezi and Saagwala are favourites. We also really like their mango lassie.

I truly love the food from this place. The entree they offer for you to have while you wait is addictive. I could eat only that. Garlic and cheese naam bread is amazing. The vegetable korma is delicious. It’s a must if you are in Glen Eden. Service really friendly as well.

Great lil spot on Uber eats. The curries had some great flavour too them and were always piping hot when they turned up to my house. Thankyou. If i still lived in the area I would be back in a heartbeat

Ordered our go-to's: Chicken Korma and Chicken Saagwala. Both are greatly worth the price! Delicious curries, both flavourful and just the right kind of kick. Not pictured is the Cheese Naan we ordered retrospectively and it was perfect! Delicious balance of garlic and cheese. The waitress gave us complimentary papadums to start with which were a great snack to start the meal with.<br/>Location is easy to find right along West Coast Road. Parking can be a bit tricky with limited on street parking, but there is plenty behind the restaurant in GlennMall.<br/>Waitress was lovely and easy to deal with. Definitely a place that I will be trying again.

ordered takeaway and it was really good value for money, everything tasted good and was packaged really well. Prawn biryani and naan was very good. this is definitely one of our go to options for takeaway now!

We had it delivered and it was delicious. Nice tender meat with no yucky bits. The flavours were really good too and the heat just how we asked for it. Would recommend and get it again.<br/><br/>

We ordered a veg briyani with raita , dhal makhani, plain naan and butter chicken. It didn’t take too long and it was delicious! will definitely be back

First time having take away from this resto, ordered gorkha chef special lamb curry taste excellent tangy and rich with tender lamb meat, this is different than most curry.<br/>Indo chinese meal chicken with gravy kind of chinese sweet sour, average and not my favorite. The momo meal, onion bhaji with green yoghurt dipping is very nice 👍👍, the sausage is also different. Love to try other menu.

Really enjoyed the spinach paneer I ordered yesterday. It was one of the best I've tried and the combo good value for money.<br/><br/>Will eat again next time in in the area

This place is lit. I was so damn hungry and ordered Chicken Momos and Gulab Jamun. It was yummmyyyy. Staff is friendly and the place is good. Must try once atleast and you would wanna try it again and again. Will surely visit again.

Delicious fluffy butter naan, rice & goat curry. We also ordered butter chicken, which I'm not a fan of generally, but Gorkha's was nice enough. They also have chips & chicken nuggets/hot dogs, which is helpful for families.<br/><br/>Will absolutely return for that tasty goat curry!

Dined in at this restaurant, had the Chicken Tandoori, Goat Curry, Prawn Masala with Rice and Butter Naan. Food was excellent, but serves are quite small and there’s more sauce than meat, other than that ambiance wise it’s a nice quiet and intimate setting, probably too close to other tables but perfect for two people looking for a quiet dining experience.

Money, money and money is all about. Ordered chicken lollipops and chilli chicken. Lollipop was extremely poor as no juicy and no salt and on top of that very much frozen bird. On other hand surprisingly chilli chicken met all tick boxes and I concluded my dinner wasting lollipops.

We love getting out take out from here, food is always good...just be prepared to wait a while although they are getting better at getting food out faster.

Ordered a mild butter chicken with rice, plain Naan bread, and a Diet Coke through uber eats tonight. There was no cutlery or napkins that came with my order which sucked but despite that, the food was lovely! <br/>Good portion of the rice and butter chicken. <br/>The rice was a little dry but not too bad. <br/>Butter chicken was good but maybe a little salt would give it a good kick. <br/>Overall, very happy with my meal tonight.

My wife and I ordered takeaway via Uber Eats last night.  It arrived on time, was hot and ready to go.  It's hard not to use too many superlatives for this meal.  We had the prawn biryani and chicken jalfrezi, along with some raita and naan bread.  <br/><br/>It a word?  STUNNING.  Simply the very best Indian we have ever had.  I wasn't overly hungry but couldn't stop eating it.  The flavours, freshness, texture were perfect.  The chicked was insanely tender. <br/>I even phoned the restaurant to thank them - something I've never done before.  Even though it's a little out of our way, we shall visit for some Napalese food tonight.<br/><br/>So incredibly happy to have found this place!

Really good deals. Saturday and Sunday is all you can eat until 4pm. Vegetarian friendly. If you like heat, let them know, medium is very tame. Friendly happy staff. Clean seating area and licensed.

Delicious freshly made food which I can have everyday. I had their couple of dishes vegetarian Manchurian and vegetable soup a month ago.<br/>After long time I can back yesterday for just soup and it was the same taste that I had last time.<br/>Good customer service as well.<br/>I got love that their food has authentic Indian taste.<br/>Thank you.

We waited 2 hrs from order to delivery. We rang twice to chase the order and the staff were very unhelpful. Once the food did arrive it was cold. Still waiting for the manager to contact us.

That wait time aye.... 20 mins over the estimated delivery time. Not cool. Was so flippin hungry. The food was okay, the vegetable salad was horrible though. Big chunks of raw veges. I ended up tipping it out and cutting it all up myself.

Great food - sometimes time estimates aren't accurate - be prepared for a wait even if you arrive on the time they tell you. Well worth the wait tho!

Ordered food from them online for delivery. Was told there was an hours wait which we were fine with. After an hour we called up to be told "10 more minutes". In ten minutes we called again to be given the same response. Ten minutes later we were told that no order had been placed (?!). It took 2 hours in total to get our "fast" food delivered. This level of incompetence is astounding.

This place has good dishes first off the Currys are rubbish just your normal standard fake curry aim at us westerners .<br/>However the tandoori is kinda good and they have good momos there to, they make that place goood. Also I have found the service really good every time I have been.

this lovely indian  cuisine  is some of the bet we have  have ever had, the flavours are authentic and complex, the meat tender and well seasoned  the portions  are very generous and the service  and delivery prompt  and friendly.    highly recommend this restuarant and wish them well as their  food is just awesome!

Been meaning to try these guys for ages. It is very hard to find Momo in NZ, and I have to say it was awesome to taste those flavours again. Brought back so many memories of Nepal, and in particular the tiny eating houses of Kathmandu. <br/>Great curries, and it is awesome that you can order online, AND they do free delivery. <br/><br/>We will definitely be back

Having driven past numerous times on the way home, we finally got some takeaways from Gorkha yesterday.  I wish we had given them a try earlier, because it was excellent!  <br/><br/>The curries were full of flavour (we had lamb saagwala and the Nepalese goat), well priced at around the $14 mark and complemented by pretty good naan.  We also order some vegetarian Momo for own 18 month old (and us) and they were devoured in minutes.  For that alone we will be back.  <br/><br/>To top things off they were giving away a little treat with every order yesterday because of the All Black's RWC victory.  That's just a class move if you ask me, and very much appreciated.  <br/><br/>The only thing that I would say that needs to be worked on was the "restaurant" fit out, which was empty bar 2 tables and 8 chairs.  As we got takeaways that didn't affect us, but it certainly did feel a bit odd while I waited for our food.  <br/><br/>Nonetheless, we most certainly will be back for takeaways sometime soon :-)

Very good for takeaways ... Guys are pretty friendly & after a while will come to know about your taste.. U can also request them to add or omit something which you don't like without any fuss

Would highly recommend this place just ordered delivery from here and it did not disappoint we ordered a mild Shahi paneer and the Nepalese vege dumplings as well as the 15 pc mini samosa and vege spring roll and money bags loved the dumplings and the shahi panner was so yummy and had the best sauce and the sauces that came with the food was great super friendly driver and not a long wait and even gave us free delivery loved the food will def be buying more from here :) :)

Staff: Delivery drivers are always polite and majority of the time earlier than estimated delivery time!<br/><br/>Food: there is no minimum order when ordering online, delivery fee of $5, the food is great. I have ordered both the Butter Chicken and the Chicken Korma, both were amazing and had leftovers both times for lunch at work the next day. Always order fries, papadums and a garlic Naan and usually comes anywhere from $26-$28<br/><br/>Overall: would highly recommend Gorkha Kitchen to anyone in a heat beat. Also order though Menulog and get 10% off the first order, enjoy!

Their delivery service is prompt, at times taking less than the ETA. I usually order from the Indo Chinese selection and have always been happy with the food. Once the guy forgot the rice so he went back and got it. So good. <br/>Appreciate the $0 minimum order amount lots.

Pathetic , day by day getting worst.. used to order regular but not any more.. I used to order regular so they take me granted I have to wait ages for my food and even after that food is not upto the mark.. i gave few chances but each and every time I got disappointed
