This isn’t the Ritz. It’s a country pub and way better. You will be valued as you enjoy stunning meals, good drinks and a beer garden. Don’t drive past this place
Omg. What a great food here to try. Pork belly bites n eye fillets n lamb rump are all highly recommended. It’s very family friendly even though it’s more like bar style with so much history to tell. Also superb customer service. If u have a chance to come, or just stop for a quick bite. U will fall in love this amazing restaurant.

During our recent stay in New Zealand, we stumbled upon this hidden gem that surpassed our expectations and left us with an impeccable experience.
After a long day of exploring, hunger struck us unexpectedly, and we found ourselves craving a hearty meal. However, fate seemed to have played its part as we arrived at the pub just moments after the kitchen had officially closed. Disheartened, we were about to leave when the friendly staff noticed our predicament and approached us with warm smiles and hospitality that exceeded our expectations.
The exceptional service provided by the staff was commendable. They went above and beyond to accommodate our hunger and ensure we had a satisfying meal. Despite the kitchen being closed, they generously offered to rustle up something for us from their limited resources. Their willingness to serve us despite the inconvenience was truly remarkable and made us feel welcome and valued as guests.As we savored the food that was meticulously prepared for us, we were pleasantly surprised by its quality and taste.
Beyond the food, the ambiance was cozy and inviting. The rustic decor created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for relaxing with friends and loved ones. The pub's pleasant and lively vibe combined with the friendly banter of the staff enhanced our overall experience, making it all the more memorable.

Great pub, nice beer garden. Decent quality selection of drinks, good draft beers (Mt Alpha was my first choice). We shared a snapper fish and chips and both quality and quantity was very good. Nice condiments and salad.
Stopped by the Silverstream Hotel a couple of weeks ago and glad I did! Fantastic meal, really nice atmosphere (beautiful beer garden!) and you can tell that the friendly owners and staff truely care about your experience. The place was buzzing with locals and travellers, but our order was served quickly.
Excellent experience, will stop again on my next trip!
Such a hidden gem! Great service, great live music, beautiful beer garden. Would plan to stop in Kimbell just for this pub next time we are back.

Buttered Rum & mulled wine, delicious! Great place to stop for drink and something to eat, especially after being up the mountain for the day.
Such an awesome pub with loads of character, great staff and a really nice atmosphere. We rocked up here with a motorhome and the staff were really helpful and accommodating. We were able to power up for the night and enjoyed more than a few good pints and some excellent burgers and chips in front of the fire place. Awesome that it's dog friendly outside too. We'll be returning shortly to take advantage of the beer garden. Can't share any photos as the food disappeared too quickly. It's obvious why the locals all gather here.
