Food was great. Loved the lamb vindaloo. Server was kind enough to make it less spicy for my taste. Highly recommended đź‘Ť

Try here because of road closure due to crash. Overall, it is good for taste. I like the lamb shank and butter chicken. Price is good as well as lower than Wellington. If I pass by when lunch or dinner time, I might come again. The only thing can be improved is the speed of supplying food. Oh, I like it open until 11 pm as good for travellers.

Great local bar and restaurant, that’s open to the public seven days a week. Pop in for the cheapest pints in town, stay for a good selection of food in the family friendly restaurant area, or relax with bar snacks in the main area. Darts and snooker can be played for free, $2 for a game of pool. Free venue hire means there’s invariably something going during any given week.

Don't judge a book by its cover could never ring more true when it comes to Messines. We happened to stumble across this place and were amazed by how friendly the staff as well as the locals were. The food was also on point and the beers were priced to match. Couldn't recommend this place high enough!

Well I know that Featherston is the place to "be" - these days ..but what a shock! This take away/restaurant must be a well kept secret - only I've discovered it tonight after their flyer came through the door and I thought - lets give this a go!! Result - The food is beautiful - the best rice from a TA ever. The service truly excellent. The skill to get the mild >> to med for the Tikka - spot on. Definitely ringing these folks again for a Sat night curry night. Gudonyer - as they say in NZ - Simply spiffing darling as we used say in the UK - SO GOOD TO FIND SUCH A JOY and locally too - Again WELL DONE & THANK YOU xxx

We regularly go to Messines. The owner Mike and his wife are great hosts. The menu changes often with specials like whitebait available. It's very reasonably priced and the bar prices are very cheap at $5 each. The locals are very friendly, what more could you want!
