I had the ribs, flavour was wonderful. However the meat didn't come off the bone easily. Half hour longer in the oven would have done it.

Friendly staff great atmosphere bar snacks ok

On behalf of the Manawatu MX5 Club we had a fantastic place to have a group dinner. Very helpful staff went out of there way to make a great dinner night. Food and beverages were fantastic. A huge thank and we will be back.

Great service, Friendly bar staff, awesome atmosphere

Wonderful food, good service and typical rural pub/hotel atmosphere. They accommodated our group of twelve and we all agreed that our meals were very, very nice which included cajun chicken salad, fish and chips, pork, beef and chicken schnitzel and the ubiquitous stockyard burger!! Yum, yum. The prices for the meals were spot on.

We have dined three times here now, since it opened and I am so impressed with the quality of food, service, dining atmosphere and prices. It is great quality food for the price and the presentation of each plate is professional. Take the time to walk into this great piece of history for a great meal! A+

I'm not really into pubs but our afternoon there was great. Yummy lunch with great service. The ladies behind the bar lovely and helpful. A lot of history in that place.Overall great.
