Review Gibbston Valley Winery Restaurant - Gibbston

We booked the Vault Room to celebrate our 25 years marriage and renew our vows. Amy was amazing to deal with where the planning was concern - we are in Perth WA. Great communication all the way. On arrival we did a reconnaissance visit and met John and Kylie who confirmed all the details for the night. I couldn’t have asked for a better venue. The food and wine was delicious! The staff were excellent and the venue was beautiful!! Our guests were so impressed with everything. Nothing was too hard for Kylie & Shona, they just made it happen. We stayed the night in one of their lodges. We wish we stayed longer. Thank you Amy, John, Junio and team. Highly recommend

Did lunch here today and it was amazing. Stunning food, excellent service, lovely people. Did I mention the presentation of the plates? Exceptional. Will be back next time we do Queenstown which is usually once a year. Cant wait. Oh yeah, the wines were outstanding too.

We were in a rush to buy a case of their delicious wine because we had a flight to make from Queenstown. Matthias helped us, getting us signed up for their events wine club, carefully packing each bottle in bubble wrap for the journey to the States, and getting us on our way to comfortably make our flight. And Gibbston was hopping on a beautiful sunny day, with many people enjoying tastings with friends and family. Love this place!

We had a tour booked in at 3pm and came in late. Larissa, was so lovely and understanding & basically still offered us to have the tour privately. She poured us a wine tasting and we ordered some delicious cheese. Grant showed us the cellar and it’s so beautiful. It have a very nice feel on the inside. He was very polite and informative. We got some olives and cheese on our way out. I highly recommend stopping by here, the best wines. Honestly would give 6stars

A MUST to visit when in Queenstown - we had a BEAUTIFUL LUNCH in gorgeous surroundings! The wine tasting after lunch was great too - really easy with the options on offer. The cheese shop has lovely cheeses for sale too!

Joined the enjoyable wine tour with our knowledgeable guide who hailed from Chile, another wine producing region. Got to look around the vineyards, fermentation tanks followed by a cave tour. Tasted a variety of delicious wines to go along Tried the lunch at the winery separately, food was good but a tad skimpy on portions.

The service was great and the cheesery sells nice artisan products as well. The wines were great. It's definitely one of the busier places. Check out the wine cave if you get an opportunity to do so.

We cycled from Arrowtown to the winery and were greeted in our activewear like we were in normal everyday clothes. We had a bottle of pinot gris and then for lunch our server Julie suggested we try a pinot noir as this pairs the best with lamb and steak. I'm not a noir fan but she gave us a couple of tasters and explained the rationale behind having red wine with these meats. While I'm still not a huge fan, I did enjoy this pinot noir with my steak. We had the oysters to start which according to my husband were the best oysters he's ever had. Dessert was strawberries and cream with some yummy custard. Julies service was impeccable, our water glasses were constantly fully, she gave great info about each plate and food and was very attentive.

We came here on our wine tour and really enjoyed it! I hadn’t had rose or resling lately and their rose and reslings got me out of the slump! Would order to the US.

The winery inside and outside is lovely. The wine cave is very interesting. The wine guide was lovely and informative. Her narrative on the vineyard, winery, and wines was brilliant. The wines are tasty 😋. Located close to Queenstown. Would suggest booking a wine tour then you don't have to drive.

Great garden patio, cheese shop and tasting bar. Relax do some tastings and nibble on a cheese platter or charcuterie or both. Great ambiance - wines only so-so.

Had been here before but had the best experience when I came a few months back and was served by the hilarious and lovely Jolie. Very witty, knowledgeable and kind - knows her stuff and is super welcoming and warm. After having an awesome wine tour with her I came back a few weeks later to do a tasting with her again in the cellar door. Amazing cheese boards and also the staff in the restaurant were very warm and accommodating too. Great place and vibe, one of the best wineries in queenstown!

E-bikes which Jono set up was amazing! The service from being picked up in town to the care he put in with explaining how to use the bike was impeccable. Jono detailed exactly how to get on the river trail and where the winery's were. I can't wait to go back to Gibbston Valley with my friends!!!

This was the best looking wineries of the three we visited today. The wines were ok. Again, the wine cave and grounds were really nice!

Lovely Pinot noir tasting and cheese platter. Great seating near the fire place. I did have to ask about info on both the wine and the cheese. Would be great if they do that standardly. Still great!

Great wine tasting experience. They have a closed in garden which is interesting as the view of the mountains are great naturally. Staff was wonderful and I would recommend the wines. Great time!
