So good!!! Mussels were awesome and came with a recommendation of ordering extra bread to soak up the sauce.....so glad we listened, sauce was amazing. Kids loved the generous wedges and nachos. Beef sandwich looked awesome and the eggs bene was beautifully done. With R&V on this weekend they were very busy and they did warn us of quite a delay and food came out with a minute or 2 of what they said it would. Very glad we decided to stay. Service amd prices were very good, decor was fine and the view gorgeous.

Compliments to the chef and staff. The furnishings are not fabulous, but the food was delicious. Recommending the seafood chowder and raw fish. The weather was atrocious with strong winds and rain, but the view from the window was worth it - wild seas were roaring.

Beautiful food ! Well presented and lots of it. Had been warned beforehand that the service was very slow but it was fine when we were there. Worst thing was the smoky atmosphere and smell of fried food when we walked in... could definitely do with better extractor fans. Inside of the restaurant was very tired and could do with a revamp.

Staff always pleasant and friendly. I like to get birthday pics. Waitress not bothered being the photographer. Thank you. Closing February will miss great views and muffins.

My wife and I used a voucher given to me for my birthday. Nice sea views of Midway Beach and Young Nicks Head. The meals were great I had the seafood chowder and my wife, the bread entree. For a mains we chose the Lamb shanks. The portion sizes were large and the meat tender & delicious.

Really great breakfast. Beautiful eggs benedict and homemade rosti. Doesn't shout it from the decor and exterior, but fantastic quality food. Freshly squeezed orange juice, awesome beachfront location. Had our small dogs with us so sat outside on the terrace after a beach walk. Highly recommend a stop here if in Gisborne.

The Mother's Day brunch we booked into was soured a little bit by the attitude of one of your servers, an older blonde lady. We were told to order quickly, because it was busy (this was with maybe 10 full tables, tops) but had only been given 2 menus for a table of 5, and hadn't had time to pass them around everyone. I asked if there were any more menus so we could all have a look and was bluntly told no. We ordered quickly anyway, breakfast and a round of coffees. The food came out first, and was really nice, awesome food. My mother in law said to the waitress after she dropped the food off "excuse me we ordered coffees, could we just have them after breakfast since they haven't come yet?" She wasn't being snarky or anything, and was trying to give the waitress a heads up that we weren't in a massive rush for them. The waitress replied "if you want them after your food you won't get them at all, we are too busy" to which my mother in law asked "well when should we have them?" The waitress turned on her heel and snapped that she didn't need to be spoken to like that, which left us all confused. We got our coffees much later from a different server who was very apologetic and kind, and although our coffee order was slightly wrong after all that time, the second server was super nice. The first ladies attitude really ruined the meal though, which was a shame.

We had the best dinner here in Gisborne in such a long time . (I've been fortunate enough to eat in many top restaurants in countries like France, Denmark, Norway, Poland, Italy - to name just a few ). But Peppers Beachfront was up there too . My very fussy French hubby loved his Entree and his Main. The steak was cooked to his liking (very rare ). My steak was cooked to my liking (well done ). Our group of 6 adults and my 7 year old son enjoyed the food and wine, the excellent service and of course the gorgeous sea views. I'm bringing my Japanese friend here for dinner when she comes in December. So yes Peppers Beachfront gets 5

Sadly my mothers day lunch was soured as well. The meal was good but i booked in for 12 pm for lunch. Lunch was served around 12.30. Having eaten our mains we were asked if we would like to order dessert at around 1.05pm. We did not want dessert. 5 mins later a waiter came and told us that they are waiting for our table as it had been booked for another party. Wow. what would have happened if we did order dessert. So we left without even finishing our drinks. Bloody rude is all i can say. Poor hospitallity.

First time here for lunch. I ordered the fish meal it was very nice. My waitress recommended a mocktail with pomegranate and it was beautiful! Her suggestion was spot on. Thank you to the chef and staff this Aucklander will be back. (if mum pays) would be great to see a more varied menu.

The food is fantastic. This is a 'lick your plate' restaurant. Selection of drinks were great from the rosé I ordered to the espresso martini. The view from the deck was lovely as the sun went down.
